We used Carol Blackburn as our realtor as first time home buyers. While we did buy a home we had several issues that as a realtor she should have helped us through. 1. Provided NO assistance with identifying how much to offer when we were interested in a home. She would simply say "I can't help you with that, how much do YOU think its worth?" 2. She setup the home inspection (bad move) and the inspector missed some SERIOUS issues such as pluming problems (no ventilation),mold/foundation issues/a broken water main (which was leaking in the front yard) and water damage from the roof. We should have gotten recommendations from reliable sources to find a good home inspection service. 2. When getting repairs done following the home inspection she was not helpful at all. When some repairs were done differently then the home inspector recommended she blew us off and said that "some people do them differently then others". All in all it felt like she was in this for a paycheck and the quickest possible sale rather than walking us through a good purchase for first time home buyers. Would not use or recommend in the future.
