After having met with a couple of contractors that I just didn't get a good and quot;vibeand quot; with, I met Mike, in great part, due to Angie's List. He
was energetic, professional while taking the time to listen to what work we wanted to have done. His quote was within our budget. Although not the first home owners, we have been dealing with an issue, that others have attempted to fix over the past 6 years we've owned our home. Without hesitation Shingles Express identified the problem and fixed it........think about that ......our 18 old house has had an issue that could have been rectified by placing a single phone call.
Do I have a and quot;knockand quot; on Shingles Express? Certainly I do. On witnessing how economical, efficient and professional they were - my beautiful wife asked for quotes on work that I had planned to do this summer! Ya know - I can do the work....it's just that Mike and his team might beat me to it!!!

I called several roofing contractors to get this work done on my roof, several would not work on this property due to the yankee gutter (wooden gutter built into the front eave of the house) and/or the height of the property ( roof eave is 40 ft from the ground in front).  Mike took to the challenges without question and did a wonderful job.  The yankee gutter was overflowing and leaking, and the soffit was rotting.  Mike repaired the gutter, replaced the soffit and relined the gutter.  Provided pictures of his finding inside of the opened areas.  Storms had begun to show leaks into the house, Mike found the flashing around the front chimney in need of work.  As he removed the flashing he found some rotted roofing which he replaced, matched up the roofing material to the neighbor, keeping us looking as historically actuate as possible.  Several shingles were missing and the front facing shingles were replaced with shingles from the rear of the building and any new shingles where added to the rear of the building.  The style of gutter needed to be replaced to meet historical guildlines and Mike was more than willing to work with us to replace the gutters and downspouts as needed.  Overall it was a great experience working with shingle express.

Mike from Shingle Express was very professional and did a fantastic job. I would definitely hire him in the future. The only issue was I hired him back in June but due to an illness and some very raining weeks, the job wasn't started until August. However, communication was excellent thoughout the entire time and he did get the job done fast once he started it. His estimate was spot on with what he ultimately billed me. I'd recommend him to my friends and family.

My house is 8 years old. When I noticed a musty smell when it rained, I called the roofing company that initially installed the roof. To my surprise, the man said that he no longer serviced my development.
So I went on Angie's list to find a roofer. I called three. They were all very nice and friendly. Two people came out that day. One of them was Mr Glackin of Shingle Express. He went on the roof, and gave me a detailed estimate of what was leaking and how much it would cost to fix it. He was able to come that week, since we were expecting major rainfall. Once the roof was repaired, I have not smelled the musty, wet smell in my house again.
Thank you Mr Glackin for being a true professional, and answering all of my questions. Hopefully I won't need his services for a while, but If anything else should go wrong with the siding or the roof, I will definitely call him.

These guys are great! I had a leak, and called two other companies. One company wanted to charge me $1200 to fix my leak. I didn't have that kind of money to spare. So I called another company. The other company said that I needed to spend $14,599 on a new roof. I was really worried. A friend told me about Shingle Express. They said that Shingle Express did a great job, didn't charge a lot, and gave free estimates.Shingle Express came out, climbed up on the roof, and found out that I only had a torn pipe collar. They took a picture and showed me exactly what caused my leak. They replaced the pipe collar right away, and only charged me $155. They even said that I could mail them a check if I was short of funds. I am so very thankful that my friend told me about them! Thank you Shingle Express!
