I do not like to leave negative reviews and the company did a good job converting us from propane to NLG. Yet, I strongly recommend not to hire them for any plumbing work. It also seems they do not need the work so they can allow themselves to be arrogant. We hired them to remove a sink waste disposal system and clean out a drain clog. It took them all day to remove the waste disposal and put in a new sink drain and they had to come back the next day to complete the job. They quoted a price to clean out the drain clog but told us they could only do the work 2 weeks from the quote date. They expected us to remain without a working kitchen sink for 2 weeks. We decided to hire Done Right and the did a good job. Now, 5 months after Maichle put in a new sink drain it started to leak. But they refuse to fix their faulty work on the basis that another firm removed the drain clog. I find it outrageous that they expected us to wait for 2 weeks without a working kitchen sink for them to do the work they quoted. I will never ask them for anything again. But from what I gather they do not care. They seem to have enough work. Good for them.

My husband and I recently moved, and needed a new HVAC company. Everyone I looked into seemed to be poorly reviewed, but thankfully a family member had worked with Maichle's in the past and recommended them. They installed a mini-split in our den, and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. The crew was friendly, approachable, professional and thorough - really can't say enough good things about them, and the quality of their work. They genuinely seemed to enjoy what they were doing and took the time to explain all sorts of details to us that I wouldn't have even thought to ask about. Great experience all around.

Thanks to Maichle's Heating and Air Conditioning, my home is now a comfortable and affordable temperature. A previous HVAC company has told us that we could not install a full heating and air conditioning system in our home due to insufficient ductwork. However, Maichle's worked with us to install an extremely efficient and affordable system through the Energize Delaware program, and we didn't need to make any changes to the ductwork. The system is pretty high tech, but it is designed to work in a home just like ours--a large three-story row home. Because Miachle's went above and beyond, we will also be receiving rebates to have our basement insulated and sealed. We have presently seen our energy usage go down 40% (according to the Del Marva energy usage charts), and our home is finally comfortable.

They were very punctual, professional, and thorough. They took care to keep the house and basement clean while they replaced the 27 year old units. They even took care of a small gas leak at the hot water heater. They were persistent in finding where the gas leak was and then making sure they completely fixed it. When they were done installing the new units, they explained everything they did and how to use the new items. It was easy to see that Jeff and Billy really like their jobs.

Wonderful! So reasonably priced, right on time, and pleasant to work with! John came out to take a look at the interior unit of the A/C heat pump in the condo. It was dripping excessively into the pan. I've had other people take a look, and the responses ranged from: you need a new coil to you need a new unit! John took one look and said it just needed to be cleaned! He sprayed the coil, and the problem was solved. All for under $150.00...... Call Maichle first! They are honest! They will be my first call from now on.

I purchased the $49 A/C Tune up special through Angie's List.  At first, I did not hear back right away to schedule my appointment.  After getting in contact with the business, they apologized sincerely and explained they were having administrative issues (admin going out long term).  However, once contact was made, they were super responsive and more than willing to schedule time to perform the tune up.  At first, I wanted the service performed as soon as possible, however, the business explained it would be better to wait to have my A/C tune up when the weather was to be 70 degrees or above.  They stated that the refrigerant levels are much better to check when this is the case.  So, I checked the weather and pick the following day.  
They were prompt and on time.  Very professional and polite.  My wife was home when the service was performed, but she was more than happy with the gentleman who was here.  Once he checked everything, which took about an hour, I spoke to the tech who explained my capacitor was below its level (I was not sure what that really meant in the grand scheme of things) but he explained it was still within the Trane warranty, and that he could replace it quickly.  I was hesitant at first, because of reading reviews of others (for other companies) to which the tech was trying to sell parts/labor for fairly inexpensive things.  After receiving the explanation, I was very happy the tech was transparent about the whole thing.  He said he could replace the part immediately, and that because it was a warranty related item with Trane, they would handle all the paperwork for a small fee of $25 which was for the paperwork. (I would imagine they get reimbursed for the part from Trane later).  I was at work, so had the ability to check quickly the price of a capacitor, and found I could do it for roughly $15 and a few minutes of my time.  The extra $10 was worth it.  I didn't have to do anything, and again, since it was a warranty related issue, and they are certified Trane reps, I told him to go ahead and perform the work.  I did this because, if I messed up, my warranty for the system would more than likely be voided, and plus, he was there, ready to do the job.  He explained i wouldn't need to pay a service call fee because he was already there.  Another driving point to my decision.  I would definitely hire again.

Excellent Service!
Called this company to request a quote on a new Mitsubishi 2-zone mini-split system for the in-law suite. New system was to replace the existing forced air heating and cooling that was part of my main-home HVAC. Within 2 business days, David returned my call to discuss my needs. I was at first concerned about the length of time it took Maichle's to schedule my estimate, but the wait was worth it. Here are a few highlights that impressed me:
1.  The installer (David) provided the estimate and came to the home to evaluate my needs. I can't tell you how much this means to me. Any salesman can answer basic questions, and sell you on his or her company... the installer who does both can answer ALL of your questions regarding scope of work, etc. Try to ask a salesman an installation question, and see how well that concern/question gets to the installer so that they know your concerns on the day of installation. 
2.  The equipment suggested was state-of-the-art Mitsubishi Mr. Slim (2014 models).
3.  NO PRESSURE follow-up calls, emails, etc.
4.  The price was right. The quoted price was well below the other 3 quotes I received. Now this may seem like a red-flag to some (and it was to me too), but since the INSTALLER came to my home to discuss, AND we had a follow-up phone call to confirm the equipment selection, I felt assured that the job would be done right. 
5.  The work was done and the installers left me an invoice. No payment up front, no "money-down", no pressure to even call to pay the bill. 
I came upon this company on Mitsubishi?s website. I knew I wanted Mitsubishi equipment, but was having difficulty finding a local company that wasn?t going to upcharge me to death. All of the ?big? companies install and service this equipment, so I didn?t need to be sold on it. I needed someone to come in, evaluate my needs, and tell me what to install. Maichle?s did exactly that. As a bonus, they are listed as a Diamond Installer on Mitsubishi?s website. 
I simply can?t say enough about the quality of work of the two installers (David and Mike). They were punctual, respectful, and clean. They answered my questions, and didn?t seem to mind me (or my dog) watching them work. I will be calling them in the future for any HVAC need I have.
