Short: Sloppy, unprofessional work; bad counterflashing job and window install. Be prepared to do your own cleanup. Long: We contracted w/ Kirkin for a new roof, counterflashing, and 2 new windows. Normally would not have roofers do windows but we'd been struggling with leaks for a while and wanted to get as much as possible done before winter. We were told by the salesman, who also turned out to be the window installer (bad sign), there was rot around the windows that was likely contributing to the leaking. At their recommendation, we also had them replace our existing counterflashing right below these windows. They told us ours was poorly done. Long story short: upon inspection, we discovered they had installed the wrong size windows for our frames…The ones they ordered were too big; they had to cut our exterior wall to make them fit. Didn't tell us. Didn't repair or seal the area afterwards, just left it cut open/exposed. We also saw they had dented our trim coil, which we bought ourselves to match the color of the frames. Didn't say anything about that either. Looks like a big shoeprint indentation front-and-center; impossible not to notice. I’d be livid & mortified to have been left with such a hack job if these were ground-level windows that could readily be seen. Fortunately they’re on the 2nd floor in the back of the house. Still, it’s a mess that we now need to pay someone else to fix. Counterflashing was also poorly done. We had three other contractors here since then who shook their heads when they saw it. Kirkin wasn’t scheduled to do our roof replacement until the following week. Needless to say, we did not want that kind of workmanship anywhere near our roof and didn't proceed with that. We did a lot of research/homework before going with Kirkin. They weren't the cheapest of the quotes we received. In the end, they did not rectify or address any of the issues (Dan/owner was quite smug about them) and kept our money. Live and learn I guess.

Once damaged wood was exposed, it turned out to be much more than the expected plywood. Two supporting 2x4 studs and a section of bottom plate and top plate were completely rotten and need of replacement. The two workers stopped work and told me they would have to call the office and adjust the price accordingly for the extra work. I agreed on $200.00 extra for new treated lumber and labor to complete the work. Later, I caught workers trying to replace only 2 studs instead of the three (I supplied 2 studs of my own) required. They tried to cover over the missing stud with plywood, instead of doing the job right by romoving and replacing all rotted wood. When I confronted the workers, they argued with me using BS, assuming I didn't know better. They knew they were wrong but refused to clear-out more rotted wood and add the third stud I had already paid for. Tired, frustrated, upset and not wanting to argue any more, I just let them finish. The work looks good from the outside, but I am p***** about what they covered-over. Two other small jobs were quickly performed to customer's satisfaction. I'll never hire or reccomend this company.

I could not be more happy with the work that was done. They started promptly at 7 am and finished work and clean up by 4 pm that day. They use high quality materials and did everything they said they where going to do. I highly recommend them!

Kirkin Roofing came out to seal some nail heads on a roof and do a repair on a botched repair by another company who incorrectly uninstalled and sealed holes left behind from removing solar panels. Kirkin staff (both in office and contractor) was courteous, knowledgeable, clean, timely, and did an all around fantastic job for a great price. Would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone who needs roofing work done.

The work was a combined job between two homes that we own. A minor repair on one home and fixing a ventilation problem in the other. The work was done as we expected. The company communicated well with us to schedule times at each house. The work was done in the time frame that was given and we were satisfied with the price and work.

They told me they were going to be at the house at 7 a.m. and they showed up at 7 and went to work. The roof was completely removed and 18 new sheet of plywood had to be installed. The roof was completed and cleaned up and they went to another job. If you were to ride by the house you wouldn't know the new roof had been installed. Very professional and the men were hard workers. They had their lunch and finished the job and left for another job..

The owner personally came to do the estimate, would answer all my questions when I called him and they showed up on time, did a fantastic job and the foreman even sent pictures during the process to show me which boards needed replacing. They left the jobsite clean and even worked with me on a payment schedule. They are so professional and dependable, I am having them come back to replace all my windows next month.

Upon a recommendation from a neighbor, I called them and they were able to squeeze me in and came out same day. James was very nice and polite. He seemed to be knowledgeable (The roof looked fine when he finished, but I can only accurately grade the quality of his work after the next wind storm by seeing if the shingles are still on the roof lol) Tina in the office was very pleasant and accommodating. I feel that their fee was reasonable. I'm very satisfied with the experience.

The Kirkin Roofing crew arrived bright and early in the morning, was courteous and professional. By early afternoon all the work was done including some soffit repair. All debris was removed and all that was left was a very satisfied homeowner. The company's rep stopped by a few days later to make sure that all was satisfactory. From the first point of contact, the Kirkin Roofing owner and employees were professional, punctual and easy to work with. Since I wasn't planning on climbing on my roof, it was really helpful to see pictures of the before, during and after the work. They arrived when they said they would, performed the work in the allotted time period and everything went more smoothly than I've ever had happen with other service providers. I highly recommend the company.

Kirkin Roofing was excellent from beginning to end. They are experts in their field and extremely knowledgeable of the advancements and state of the art products with regards to roofing, offering only the best to their customers. The estimate was very well explained and fair priced. Open lines of communication with the office were extremely helpful in the decision making process of shingle color and brand. The workers arrived on time and the final steps were done that day, and a few hours sooner than expected. The cleanup was done well with no sign of debris. Final inspection was completed quickly and perfection was achieved! We couldn't be happier with our decision to use Kirkin Roofing for our new roof.

I was pleased with the work and they did a nice job. They did a very nice job on the work but they were very uncommunicative and so when their plans changed they never told me. When I followed up they never replied and they were a bit difficult to work with. I told them that when they called to make sure I did not needed anything else done. They responded within one hour with my initial request.

Kirkin Roofing came out and did a phenomenal job. They were very personable, courteous, and down to earth. The roof was installed with no issues and on time. Communication was great and Dan ensured that we were on the same page at all times. Only issue was the gutter system had some issues in terms of the water not flowing properly, but overall in terms of his Roofing service, again, he was very professional and demonstrated a solid work ethic along with great quality in the roof. In addition, he brought his 13 year old son to help out with the job, and his son did an awesome job with assisting on the job. Overall, service was great, and would recommend to anyone. Prices very reasonable, and most importantly, the integrity and quality of his job was awesome.
