First State Bath

I hired First State Bath for converting a bath tub to a walk-in shower. I feel so thankful to them from introduction through job completing. They listened carfully to my requests and proposed a small suggestion, but it turned out very special to my need. It was choice of 54" long instead of 60". It adds space for easy moving in the bathroom. It might have no impact to most people, but is very helpful and special in my situation. The project is worked out very well with on time, clean and high quality. They did great job at very reasonable cost.

Joe came out and gave us a quote, while Mike and Brandon did the work. The bathroom turned out absolutely amazing and despite the hiccups along the way they still completed the project on time.

Overall, went very well. Contractor met with me to carefully insure that he understood what I needed, and to also insure that I knew what materials and services would be provided. Workers arrived on-time, and were courteous. Work was performed in a professional manner, and results looked very good. (My only complaint was that, during the removal of the old tub, plaster dust was kicked up and not contained in the bathroom, resulting in a layer of plaster dust covering all surfaces of the house.) I am very satisfied with my new bathroom!

So, as mentioned before, I did end up sourcing my vanity top and vanity elsewhere. I ended up getting Home Depot to do both. (Hope Depot outsourced to other contractors of course.) The price and quality from Home Depot was better than my other choices. But this review is about First State, so let me return to talking about them. First State was perfect in everything they did. * The sales process was very smooth and responsive. * They had a bit of backlog, so I had to wait a bit, but they were very communicative throughout the process and scheduling was more than satisfactory. * They were extremely flexible with dealing with my external vendor (for the vanity top installation). They were VERY accommodating and appreciated it. * They did high quality work. On all parts: tub work, tile work, plumbing work, vanity work. As well as in keeping disruption to a minimum and professionalism. * They were very communicative and responsive about when they would show up, what work would happen when, and dealing with the whole process. * They went above and beyond on several minor things that were not in the contract.

They were excellent.  They were very good.  The service men were very professional, polite and very careful not to destroy and mess up anything in that area.  They were very attentive to their work.  They did their work in two and half days.  I will tell anybody that if they want their bathroom done to consider using First State.   They were professional and answered any questions I had.  They did know what they were doing and they did it well and did it in a timely fashion and professional manner.  They cleaned up after themselves.

Our project couldn't have been more flawless. The work crew came promptly at 8am for 3 full days, laying down runners of dropcloths to protect our hardwood floors. They worked diligently together, asking us our opinion as they proceeded. They usually would finish each day by 3p, with the affected areas vacuumed and picked up. They hauled away all the huge boxes. Since it rained for 2 days, they worked out of our garage and cleaned it and our driveway of any debris. They not only worked efficiently and expertly as a team but were so pleasant and accommodating to us. None of our questions were ignored. The installation of our frameless sliding shower door and unconventional sliding barn door on its track were products they hadn't dealt with before. But, they took their time and care to install both as if it was routine! We are extremely satisfied with the outcome. We would definitely recommend "First State Bath" to anyone wanting a professional, reasonably priced bathroom remodel by a great group of expert, friendly workers. Well planned and well-executed.  Each day began and ended with a review of the plan and progress and plans for the next day.  Couldn't have been nicer and cleaned up each and every day.

We signed the contract. They have not started the work yet, but every time I call to ask a question, they call me right back. We had several people come out to give us a pricing, and they were not the cheapest, but they explained things better and showed us samples of everything. I really like the man that came out here.We are just waiting for them to get the materials, and then, they are going to come and redo what we need done.

They were great and liked them, but they were little pricey.
