it went very well, he showed us where the reset button was on our furnace for the pilot light, (good to know for the future). he also checked to make sure the heat exchange was working properly and cleaned the burners and we were only charged the service fee. will definitely use again.

It went great. Nate is knowledgeable and did a terrific job handling some challenges. He was thorough and solved all of our problems, including replacement of some clogged/corroded components and bleeding all of our radiators. I will hire Affordable every year for our routine service, and call them if I need help with anything else.

Prompt response. Had the problem diagnosed and repaired within an hour, including a stop back at his shop for parts. Very pleased.

I used Affordable Heating and Air Condition to install a Nest thermostat I bought in Aug 2016. During the recent freeze, I noticed that our relatively new furnace wasn't able to heat our home. I called these guys again and told them that the furnace worked just fine with the old thermostat and the new thermostat - or their workmanship - may be the problem. Knowing how cold it was, the person who took my call told me she'd find someone right away and if it was their workmanship, they'd fix the problem for free. It turns out that the thermostat was defective (confirmed by Nest). Nate, the tech who originally did the work came to troubleshoot the issue. Once he discovered the thermostat was at fault, he placed a new one on the wall for us, at no additional expense so that we could heat our home on a very cold day. Both employees I had contact with showed concern for our predicament and worked to resolve it for us. My replacement Nest just came in the mail and I will call these guys to install it for me. Additionally, I'll call them again when we're ready for a new central air system. Service matters!

When buying a house, we discovered an oil tank during the home inspection that had been hidden when touring the house.  Can't imagine why the owners did not have it removed when switched to gas.  We called a number of companies trying to get a rough estimate for removing the empty tank to make sure before closing it was not a big deal.  Many folks would not even provide a ballpark estimate.  Bill at Affordable Heating & AIr Conditioning estimated $500.  After we bought the house, we made an appointment for Affordable to remove the tank.  Bill said the price would be the same whether they could haul it out in one piece or had to cut it.  The team arrived on time and got the tank out in one piece very quickly.  The did this from a crawl space, up the basement stairs and through a tight turn leading out to the garage.  The guys were timely, polite, and professional.  They sealed the hole for the line through the wall and cleaned everything up.  All for the $500 Bill had originally quoted.  This is a family business - brothers and cousins did the work.  They were great.  We will use them for all our heating and air conditioning needs.
