BRIGHT BEGINNINGS PRESCHOOL

My son was fine on 5/19 when we dropped him off at school at 9 and was fine when we picked him up at 11:30.  The school did not mention any issues with our son's health, they just told my husband to sign the book on his way out.  My son was doing so well that day, he went to McDonald's for lunch. 

Around 3 p.m. in the afternoon, Bright Beginnings called the Department of Human Services and reported that our son appeared to be abused and lethargic in school that day (3 1/2 hours after school ended). Part of their complaint alleged that our son was so lethargic that he could not perform his work however, correspondence from the school issued later indicated that he was playing in the playground and having a good time that day.  If my child was lethargic, did they ever consider calling me or 911 or me?  To my knoweldge, they did not do anything to render aid to him.  Why did they allow him to play on the playground if he was in that condition.  He could have cracked his head open -- if he was lethargic as they claimed. 

The attending staff at AI Dupont said that Bright Beginnings should be ashamed of themselves for neglecting to get our child immediate medical care and if something was seriously wrong, it could have been catastrophic. Fortunately, the doctor gave Sean a clean bill of health and verified that he is not mistreated in any way; they confirmed that he had allergies and that is why his eyes were red --- NOT BRUISED.   

Also, if my son was observed as being lethargic at 10:00 a.m., why did the staff do nothing to get the child immdiate help.

DFS dismissed the case and found no abuse on my part.  Personally, I think that this was a bogus complaint.
