I was on the POA board for 3 years and worked with Seascape Management on several difficult and complicated projects that had potential for bad results to the community. Seascape personnel helped guide us thru these projects to favorable results in the areas of storm water management, waste water management and common area management.
Seascape has done a good job of maintaining our infrastructure and common areas and we haven't had a need to increase POA dues or sewer fees in several years. As a board member I did discover that in every community there is always one or two residents who will be negative, disruptive and unsatisfied with anything that is done even if it is for the good of the community.

This company bullies the homeowners and is unbelievably rude, except to people who agree with everything they say and do. They send out nasty emails to people over requests for help.  Their behavior is absolutely outrageous.
They tell lies about things that can be easily found out, so they are not too smart either. For example, they lied and said a building permit was not needed for the renovation of our clubhouse because all the work was interior. That was stupid because any fool could see that the renovation included outdoor steps and a handicapped ramp.  Also, a phone call to the county quickly determined that a building permit is indeed required for an interior renovation.
When the county got involved, Seascape had to provide plans for the structural and electrical work so there could be inspections. Also, it turned out that the handicapped ramp and outdoor steps were not built to code and had to be rebuilt.  Not only were people at risk, but if anyone had been hurt, the fact that the steps and ramp do not meet code would have likely been found out by the insurance company.  As we know, insurance companies will use any excuse not to pay.
Now Seascape says they are sorry and just didn't know about building permits. Unbelievable. They are sorry they got caught,  that's all.
Also, Seascape got involved in the latest election of new Board members and came up with an approach for proxies that doesn't violate our Bylaws, because nobody anticipated this approach, but it is unethical.  Seascape did this to ensure that the few people in the community who support them would stay in power.
Meanwhile the rest of us can go whistle.
