Well, I had been suffering with a slow leak on my truck tire for about 6 months. Not too much trouble, but not right. I called around for prices and they were all over the place, from $10 to 25. I decided to try Hazzard out on the reccomendation of a neighbor. They were great, explained all the possibilities and prices, and got right to it. 30 minutes later it was fixed, for the lowest amount, and has been fine ever since.

We have been dealing with Hazzard's for the last at least 25 years. They have serviced both our cars, rescued us from all kinds of car problems, and kept us safely on the road all these years. They have often done small repairs or solved equipment glitches for free. They have given us a ride home when there was no one to pick us up after a car had to be left unexpectedly. We never have to wait long for a scheduled maintenance service. It is always done promptly and at the going local rate. There is a pleasant place to sit while work is being done that one has been told they can wait for. They are friendly, knowledgeable, always ready to explain any problem in detail, and work on it until it is right. We have never had an unsatisfactory experience in all this time.

took my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee in to have a water pump replaced(leaking bad so had car towed in) est. was $235 to $265 for repair. after 2 days the shop called and asked me if I had had any trouble starting the car. My asnwer was never , this car always starts up and runs just fine.(v-8 that will get 20mpg on hihgway, going to Baltimore every other week). shop thensaid they were putting new plugs in . next thing you know the bill was $485. (against DE law). When I picked up the car to drive home it shut off 3 times, once in the middle of a busy intersection at 6:30 pm and almost got me killed. Shop should have never let this car go until they fixed what ever they broke.

DON'T EVER TAKE A VEHICLE THERE!!!
Response from Hazzard Auto Repair Inc
"He first called for an estimate over the phone for a water pump. He then made an appointment. He had the vehicle be towed in; I really don’t know why since it was not leaking badly enough in my opinion for a tow. We drive the vehicle across our parking lot into the shop. We replaced the water pump since it was leaking. In addition to the water pump it needed a serpentine belt which Mr. Joiner approved. While letting it run to fill the cooling system it was shut off and would not restart. We checked a few things to find out why it would not start. We did replace spark plugs that were worn out. We called Mr. Joiner to ask why it was towed in and how it ran before. He informed me that he would drive his 196,000 mile Jeep across country, getting better gas mileage than any other normal Jeep Grand Cherokee with a V8. I informed Mr. Joiner that I would not tune up his Jeep for free when replacing a water pump has no bearing on tune up parts that were not replaced when needed. The Jeep was not well maintained. I was not my responsibility to fix any other problem than the water pump. Mr Joiner fails to inform you that we replaced the spark plugs and did not charge for labor, nor the gas that was put in the tank since the jeep was brought in empty and needed to be run. That makes up the difference in what the estimate was and what the actual charge was. The only knowledge we had of how the jeep ran was when it was driven into the shop, we did not test drive the jeep prior to replacing the water pump. The Jeep seems to not run after it is warmed up. Is this the real reason the Jeep was towed in? I have been in business 23 years and treat all our customers with fairness and respect. I feel we have gone above and beyond what is fair for the price of replacing a water pump."
