Weekly trash service in Rehoboth Beach. Much more reliable than what the city provides. Monthly billing allows you not to pay for months in the off-season, when the shop is closed (the City forces you to pay for the entire year in advance). Very flexible, as you can add only services you use, like recycling.

I moved into my rental property in August and started trash pick-up with First State Disposal. I called on a Wednesday, and they said that the first pick-up would be the upcoming Monday. To preface this, I put my cans out on Sunday evening so as to ensure they are ready for pick-up the following day. On monday, there was no pick-up. On Tuesday morning, with a trash-can filled with moving supplies, I called to inquire why my trash hadn't been picked up. No one answered, so I left a message. I did not receive a response, so I called again a couple of times on Wednesday. Late afternoon, someone finally answered. I was told that they could not pick up the trash because the remaining balance on the address' account had not been paid. I explained a second time that I was a new tenant, and I started a new account the previous week. They were very quick to bill my credit card (next day!), but they did not collect my garbage. I finally resolved the issue, and they agreed to initiate collection the upcoming Monday. That Monday, my trash was collected. The next Monday, however, I was not so lucky. On Tuesday morning, the can was still full. Again, it took a while to actually get in contact with someone. They argued that they had, in fact, picked up my trash. Finally, we determined that they had been picking up at the wrong address. A quick googlemaps search revealed that my address was unique within my own town as well as within the surrounding towns. I do not see how this mistake could have been made. Over the course of the past two months, my trash has been successfully picked up on the appropriate day TWICE. Every time I had to call to report that my trash had not been picked up, it took a few tries to actually reach someone. And, the woman that I talked to was rude each and every time. I would not recommend this service. FSD is very unprofessional.

They do a good job. They come on time and I've had no problems with them. Their price is much better than waste management.
