Country Lake Cleaning and Maintance

Dennis was very punctual and a very nice man. He was professional. However, usually a wife-and-husband team, his wife had recently undergone surgery and so could not do the cleaning. But, she came along anyway and was out in the car. ??? It was a cold and rainy day, so I of course invited her in.  She did come in, and sat on my couch and watched TV. ???? I should have turned them away at that point, but I needed my house cleaned. 

I reiterated again that I really needed the kitchen cleaned, but he started upstairs. I have a story and a half, and the upstairs is just for guests and doesn't get used very much, which I told him. Long story short, the upstairs probably got the best clean, because I think by the time he got to the kitchen (he saved it for last) he was tired. He didn't wipe down the cabinet fronts at all, he didn't clean the sink, or the front of the fridge or microwave, and if I hadn't noticed and made him clean the top of the fridge I don't think he would have done that either. The master bath was cleaned just okay -- the vanity and sinks were not cleaned very well. Also, and BIG negative point: he emptied one of the buckets in my kitchen sink. Ack!!! The blinds were not dusted (I even pointed them out to him that they needed it), the woodwork wasn't cleaned, I could go on and on. I got a basic clean, kinda slap-dash, for $175, and my house is pretty small.

Finally, he had me write the check to some company, I think probably to pay the ground rent on his property. So he wasn't very concerned with cleaning my house, he just needed to pay the rent. If his wife couldn't do the cleaning, he should have brought someone else, given me a reduction on the price, or said he couldn't come. I'm VERY disappointed and kinda feel ripped off. Again, they were very nice people, but the cleaning was marginal at best. If I thought it would make a difference or if I wanted them back in my house, I would call to have them back to finish the job. But, live and learn.

I'm not sure if I can trust the reviews on Angie's List, and probably will check with other sources before using a service.

Dennis and Ginny have been cleaning our house monthly for over 1 year. We are overall very happy with their work and if we ever have any special requests for extra attention to an area they always comply. Additionally they were very helpful when they discovered our glass sliding door was shattered in April 2015. They tried to contact me but could not get me directly so they called the police. Being a vacation house we are not always here so it is a relief that they took action to be sure the house was secure. We appreciate their care of our house.

This review of long overdue. The house was bigger than they anticipated, but they stayed and worked until the job was done. They asked us to provide the cleaning supplies and they provided the labor. At first I thought this was odd, but it turned out to be a good arrangement. It kept the cost down and I chose what products would be used in the house. Country Lake did an excellent job and I would use them again.

Excellent. Paid attention to detail. 1 st visit was to wash all wood-doors, jams, molding, cabinets. Did a great job.

We were very happy with Dennis and Ginny, they were prompt upon arrival. They are very careful to use the products we wanted to use and also brought clean cloths for cleaning our home. They used our vacuum, mop and dusters. Ginny was very thorough about the bathroom cleaning, and it showed. They were very nice and flexible for our scheduling.

They are the best cleaning team I have ever had and will continue to use them. They are extremely punctual honest and extremely hard workers. They do extra work if they see something that needs to be done they are fantastic! I cannot say enough good things about them.

Dennis bought a duster that had someone else's dust all over it. He wanted to leave but the kitchen wasn't done. He kept rushing her and did a bad job cleaning the cupboards. When they came, not a lot got done.

Dennis and Ginnie are two very hard working people who spring cleaned our condo to a shine. Dennis was able to give me an estimate over the phone and we set up a time for the cleaning. They worked diligently and everything was sparkling -- mirrors, kitchen cabinets, floors. Since it was an overcast day, Dennis said they would return the next day to do the windows, which was a great idea. They arrived on time as promised the next day, but to my embarrassment the repairmen who were there doing another project in the condo -- and would clearly have been in their way for washing the windows -- were still working. Dennis said "No problem, we can come by tomorrow afternoon.". And they did -- right on time. They were very accommodating. The windows look beautiful, and it is not easy to get all the salt spray off! They also noticed that the grout in the shower was in bad shape and Dennis pulled out the old grout and did a great job of regrouting. We really appreciate all they did for us.

We needed a cleaning service to clean our vacation house twice yearly, in the spring and fall, and found Country Lake on Angie's List. Dennis and Ginnie, who own and operate Country Lake, are a husband and wife team who truly understand the concept of customer service. They arrived to clean our house at the appointed time and worked diligently to make the house spotless from top to bottom! Not only did they perform the usual housecleaning functions--dusting, floors, kitchen, bathrooms, etc.--they also cleaned all of our ceiling fans plus several elevated display shelves and the objects on them. We coiuldn't be more pleased, and will continue to use them in the future.

Country Lake is a husband and wife team and they did an outstanding job. We have a two story house which they thoroughly cleaned. Every room was dusted and vacuumed. Baseboards and heaters cleaned. The bathrooms were spotless with the lights and fixtures cleaned as well as the toilets, sinks and tubs. Floors were wet mopped where appropriate. We are very satisfied. This is a great value for the price. They even closed up the house for the winter per my instructions. Will definitely have them back next season and for a thorough spring cleaning including windows.

Arrived on time, vacummed thoroughly, cleaned 2 dirty, dusty bathrooms, scrubbed the floors on her hands and knees--(try getting anyone to do that these days!!) Polished furniture, etc etc etc.Will do some odd jobs( fix-ups etc) in the future.

This husband and wife cleaning and maintenance company carried out a very high level of housecleaning at my beach condo. After renting the unit for the entire summer, a top-to-bottom deep cleaning of the premises was in order. Well , I was thoroughly pleased that my wife found Country Lake Cleaning and Maintenance on Angie's List. The couple arrived promptly at the agreed upon time, provided a fair estimate to do the job, and then performed the work in an extremely thorough and professional manner. My entire experience with this company was very positive, and I plan on having them clean my condo on a regular basis.

Dennis and Virginia are a husband and wife housecleaning team that runs their business from Lewes, Delaware. Although my condo is located in Ocean City, Maryland (about 20 miles south of the company office), Dennis and Virginia were happy to travel down from Lewes to clean my condo. I have not seen two people work so hard to clean my place! While my property is a small, one bedroom, one and a half bath condo, it gets dirty from all the sand, humidity, and salt air of a beach resort. Dennis and Virginia methodically went from room to room, thoroughly cleaning the walls; furniture; windows; bathroom sinks, toilets, and tub; carpeting; and floors. The "grand finale" was Virginia wet-mopping my kitchen's linoleum floor! Dennis and Virginia are very friendly, polite, and courteous. They strive to make you a happy customer, and I couldn't be happier! I plan to hire Country Lake Cleaning and Maintenance, again, and I recommend you do the same!

They come once a month and they are very good. They always ask if there is anything else that they could do. They make sure that I am happy with what they have done, they are very respectful, and they do their job and go. They can also do laundry, dishes, and that sort of stuff.

A referral was given by a friend and I decided to try them out. I am disabled and not able to do heavy duty cleaning and needed someone to help me. They came in and they got right to work and I have never in my life had any cleaning service do more than Ginnie and Dennis. They go out of their way to make sure I am happy with their work and they always offer to do more, like laundry, change the sheets on the bed, etc. EXCELLENT is all I can say, they are incredible!! You can't go wrong with them. Even if you have them come in once a week they do the same level of cleaning each and every time.....so you know that all your shelves and knick-knacks will be dusted, floors scrubbed, furniture polished, etc......they are wonderful people and you will be as pleased as I am.
