Our family member Diane passed away, and no burial or funeral pre-planning had taken place. We had done business with Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Home many years ago and chose them again for that reason. They were able to pick up the body of the deceased within hours of her passing. The care, professionalism and attention to detail was everything and more that we could have hoped for. And this all happened in the week that hurricane Sandy struck the northeast. Thanks to their thoroughness, they caught the fact that the florist that we told them would be providing flowers had not checked in as usual. Ambruso notified us, and we discovered the order had gotten lost due to broken communications during the hurricane. Their funeral home in Dover where the indoor service was held was very nice, and a video screen was provided in the corner for playing a slide show of family pictures. Everyone agreed this was a welcome and uplifting element of the funeral to have available. Ambruso led us in a car procession to the cemetary where the site was nicely prepared, flowers were waiting, and the priest came to say the final words. Our family was completely satisfied with the services and especially the genuine kindness provided to us by Ambruso and we would highly recommend them to anyone needing funeral arrangements and support during such a time of grief.
