Allpower Generator

About us

We maintain and service thousands of generators in the Tri-State area and represent all the major brands. Our company focus is very straight forward. We deliver peace of mind to your home or business with our industry experience, quality products, expert craftmanship, and reliable business practices. We cut no corners when it comes to generator installations, service calls, or preventative maintenance and never will. Everyone has been jumping on the generator band wagon the last several years and it is common for generator manufacturers to let just about anyone sell and install their products after they take a two day seminar. At Allpower we are not electricians, plumbers, big box store retailers, or internet shop keepers in the generator business part time. We are a generator company all day and every day. Think about it...when is the last time you called your plumber or electrician and contracted him to fix your car. If you did, how do think that would go? Generators are no different.

I found All Power to be extremely thorough.  They did a complete assessment of our needs,
wrote an exact estimate, completed the job on schedule with the utmost respect
for my property.  They showed us how our
generator operates and low and behold a month after installing it our power
went off and immediately our generator when on!
Thank God!  I am so thankful I
selected the right company. I also have a contract to keep my generator
maintained throughout the year.  My
husband and I are not the least bit mechanical so I was thankful they would do
a health check and add oil, etc so we know it will work every time we need it.  Living in Chester Country we get our fair
share of outages.   I have heard many horror stories from my neighbors,
so do your due diligence!  I would and
have recommend All Power Generator!

Started project in warmer weather in Oct.  All Power worked with my gas and electrical teams to design the natural gas and electrical interfaces (I have Solar panels!)  The assisted with the siting to assure code compliance and specified the required gas line needed to power the system.
Once the pad was poured, they set the generator in place  and supervised the gas connections and installed th automatic transfer switch.  Their electrician made the connections.
When all was ready, they came out to complete the installation with a thorough system run and check.  I highly recommend using them for any similar job!

I have had a Kohler generator
that was installed by an electrical contractor years ago.  We lose power 2 to 4 times a year.  The contractor that installed it was never
able to assist when we had issues, which were many.  I googled ACTUAL generator companies and
found AllPower Generator.  Thank God, I
did!  We were not a customer but they
agreed to come see if they can FINALLY get our generator running consistently
during a power outage.   Apparently our
electrical contractor had improperly installed it which caused it to constantly
shut down.  AllPower corrected the
problem and for the first time our generator ran for days just when we needed
it the most.  I could have been hostage
to the repair bill since we were in the dark.
The bill was very reasonable and the repair took only a few hours.  We have since had another power outage and
our generator came on seamlessly!  Finally
our investment paid off.  Their mechanic
and his helper was knowledge, courteous  and respectful of our time and property.  I now have a maintenance agreement with
AllPower which was fairly inexpensive to keep our generator is proper working
on for the next outage (ugh).   I would and actually have recommend this
company and wish that I had them install our generator to begin with!

I have a GE generator that worked flawless for 2 years.  All of a sudden, it stopped working during my last power outage.  My brother used this company to service his generator so I had them come out.  The 1st time the repairman came out I was charged over $300 and he left with my generator still..broken.  I agreed to a service contract for an additional $500 and the same tech came out and left with the generator still issuing error messages.  I think I'm pretty liberal when it comes to repairmen, but when I've paid $750 and my unit is still broken I, as a consumer, am not pleased.  I called a certified GE tech, and after 6 hours of work it is now back in shape.  Although I am still contracted to AllPower, I have no faith in this company.  I find it truly unprofessional to leave a repair job telling the customer "it should work"  They did not take the time to work the problem, and did not do any due diligence as to what the problem was.  This company is off my list and I advise all to avoid them - they will leave without fixing the problem...

The provided the service per their contract for 2 calls a year for $400 per year. Their mechanics are very nice an knowledgeable.
I had a problem with my transfer switch and it was smoking (not related to their work) and I called them because they are my maintenance people asking for advice on what to do. All I got was CYA stuff like "we didn't install the generator" and "call an electrician". All I really wanted was some advice on what to do in the moment and to have someone come out and look at it. Then I got all this "the service call is going to be $125 etc" which is all fine and I am more than willing to pay for service, but I want to receive that service from someone who is responsive and caring.
They sent out a mechanic and he did a great job and was a nice guy and I paid for the call. I asked for a quote for a new generator and replacement of my transfer switch and I did not get a call back. I followed up and left a message and still did not receive a quote.
Maybe it is unrealistic on my part that when I pay $400 a year for a service relationship for several years that the people I pay that to  would be there for me in a time of need and not just playing defense. They do fine work and their mechanics are great guys, and they showed up 2x a year for an oil change, but I would have thought my $400 a year would have bought more when the chips were down.
Response from Allpower Generator
"Mr. {member name removed} needs an electrician not a generator mechanic for this problem which was communicated. It is illegal for anyone other than a licensed electrician to replace a transfer switch. The performance history on this generator is very good and it has only required 2 service calls in the last 11 years. We have kept that machine in good working condition with preventative maintenance since its installation which is reflected in the performance history of the unit."
