They did a get job. Clean after themselves. It was a huge tree. The only thing I had a issue with, is they came unannounced. It was ok. Just call me ahead of time. I would like to been here they did it. Quote was great, job was great.

The owner of the company met me and gave a very fair quote which I approved on the spot. Our work was scheduled and the men (4) showed up with a boom lift and a shredder. They were very professional and courteous and did a great job. Everything was cleaned up. We are so impressed with them that they will be removing Five, 80 to 100 feet tall trees. I would recommend them to anyone wanting quality work done professionally at very fair prices. Dennis O. Roberts

This is a large professional tree service, that uses technology like Arbor jet for treating trees. There were some delays with service, but when they were here they were professional, careful, and did a good job. The mites and borers were stopped. They were careful to cover our vegetable gardens for the mite spraying, and provided helpful advice. This year they promptly sent me their yearly maintenance proposal which we immediately accepted. But then they failed to set a date for service for a deep root feeding of the damaged tree which really needs it and although budded successfully on all limbs, is now failing to leaf. We called and service is now scheduled. They are responsive when prompted.

Great experience. Discussed work and provided an estimate for the work that included tree removals, tree canopy maintenance and stump grinding/removal. Work was schedule in a timely manner and crew arrived on time to complete assignment. Worked in tight quarters with neighbors. Completed all the work originally requested plus some additional. Removed all debris and left the property in better condition than they found it. Great company to do business. Considering the amount of specialized equipment required to do the job and time spent onsite, the pricing was very fair.

Work was done promptly on the promised date. Foreman called before starting work to note that a large boxwood bush would impede their tree removal. He proceeded with my instructions to remove most of the bush. Both areas were cleaned up very nicely. A great experience! Photos show before and after.

I got estimates from 10 different tree companies and the professionalism of Sussex Tree and their method of removal is what sold me on their services. They removed all of the trees in just 3 days. They did over 50 trees a day with just a 5-8 man crew. What really blew me away was their use of a 128ft 38 ton crane to just pick up the trees and drop them into a shredder. They shredded the entire 40-50ft tall Leland tree like it was nothing. They took trees out of places that i thought would be impossible and they did it all with minimal impact on my yard and landscaping. They spent as much time raking and cleaning up as they did cutting. In the end you could barely tell they had been there except for the lack of trees. It was like the trees just disappeared. Their equipment was top notch and so where their employees. Everyone was courteous and respectful and very punctual. I can't say enough nice things about these guys. I will be hiring them again to remove more trees from another property i own. Watching them pick up a 60ft tall pine tree in one piece and then hoist it 100ft in the air and drop it right into the shredder was amazing. I wasn't planning on watching the entire project but it was so fascinating to watch i couldn't help but ******** for the whole 3 days. Even my neighbors got hooked on watching it. Wow. Just wow! I called one day, got an email estimate the next day. I accepted the offer and they were here in two days. The four men showed up with their equipment and went to work pruning and trimming the large maples out front. They shredded all the branches they cut down, raked the yard (including the leftover winter debris - which now I won't have to do come spring!) ?. Then I asked for some of the mulch they'd shredded - saves me a trip to buy mulch as well as money! They gave me a big pile of the shredded wood - no added color - which I prefer. The men were professional, knowledgeable and careful. And they have a very generous senior discount!

Excellent service. They promptly assessed our trees, gave a thorough written estimate and performed the work in a timely fashion. Workers were courteous, professional and thorough both while working on trees and cleaning up. We found them quite reasonable and would not hesitate to call them again. One competitor even quoted about twice the price!

The did an outstanding job in every aspect, from not tearing up the grass to not letting any branches hit the house to disposal of all of the cut down pieces. Additionally, in addition to being complete professionals, they were friendly, courteous, explained what they were going to do and how they were going to do it prior to starting the job, and followed up afterward to ensure I was satisfied.

Bottom line: Sussex Tree, Inc. (STI), provided outstanding emergency tree service and performed under tight time constraints following extensive terrain damaged caused by Tropical Storm Jonas. Details: We purchased our Slaughter Beach (SB) property in December 2015 and experienced Mother Nature?s furry just weeks later when Tropical Storm Jonas hammered Delaware?s Eastern Shore. The January 2016 storm did extensive damage along the Delaware Bay's shoreline. At our Slaughter Beach property Jonas' storm surge topped the protective berm and devoured a beach-front area measuring approximately 20 by 80 feet. Several old-growth, Japanese Black Pines were ripped out of the destroyed area and deposited down the beach. We paid a contractor to remove the dead trees immediately following the storm. Three large pines were left standing, but much of their root system?which had been several feet below grade before the storm?had been exposed by sand erosion caused by the storm surge. We had thought we might save these damaged pines. However, on 15 March 2016, the Delaware Department of Natural Resources (DNREC) arrived with heavy equipment to scrape/push sand from beach in order to partially restore the protective berm and associated level terrain that Jonas destroyed. On 16 March, after consulting with DNREC officials on site and with neighbors native to the area, we understood that our three large pines could not be saved after their root system had been exposed to salt water. This revelation put us in a challenging time crunch ? unless we had the doomed pines removed by roughly 9AM on 17 March, DNREC would not be able to properly restore a large section of the berm/terrain protecting our property. We moved quickly to search Angie?s list using key words ?emergency tree service.? STI was in the results, had excellent reviews, and offered a 10% discount to AL?s members, so we called at 10AM on 16 March. Owner/arborist Jeff Meredith diverted resources from other projects in order to get a crew to our property before DNREC?s bulldozer started work on the berm on 17 March. Within roughly an hour of STI?s arrival on the job site, our Black Pine problem was resolved. STI?s team included 5 men, one of whom was an arborist. They were well equipped with heavy machinery, including a mobile, remote controlled stump grinder. The STI team was friendly and professional, and thoroughly removed debris after the job. The work by STI and DNREC significantly restored the terrain damaged by ST Jonas. And needless to say, we?ll be calling Sussex Tree anytime we need tree work in the future. We do hope to replace the pines that Jonas destroyed.
