M and M Computer Services

My HP laptop would not connect to the internet through WiFi. A message appeared that indicated certain dll files were missing. I called M and M Computer Services and spoke to Mark Cyr after my usual computer repair company said they were no longer repairing computers for individuals.  They were now only working with businesses.  Mr. Cyr indicated he only made home visits to repair computers. Also his cost was $100 to come out to my home. In certain circumstances, he might take the computer with him if he could not make the repair in one's home.  The cost would not be any more than $150.
We set up a date and time, and he came to my home for the repair.  He was timely,  professional and personable.  He quietly worked on my computer about 3 hours. At times, he would ask relevant questions.  He stated a virus, possibly through adware, had caused the problem even though I had a security program on the computer.  He eventually, after trying a number of things, installed two free programs: CCleaner and Malware Bytes Anti-malware.  The virus was removed and the connection re-established.
He sold me a better Malware Bytes Anti-malware program for $25 and installed it.  When he finished the job, he asked for $250 plus the cost of the Malware Bytes program.  I reminded him that he had stated the cost would not exceed $150 for the service.  He accepted that and I paid him $150.
The Malware Bytes program was for a one year subscription.  About a week after installation, I received a message that my subscription was going to expire in less than a month.  I spoke to Mr. Cyr about it, and he offered to come by my home; however, the problem corrected itself and he did not have to come out.
