The paving job went reasonably well. While the work was being done on the driveway he noticed that my roof was deteriorating. He offered to seal part of the roof, repair the other half, repair or replace my gutters and power wash roof and the mold off my siding. When he arrived he requested my contract and disappeared into his truck where I am quite sure he actually altered the contract--but not the price. He presented me with the altered contract. I should not have signed it but the crew was there and ready to work. The work was performed, not by him as promised but by a sub-contractor. They did a fair (but not good) job of replacing part of the roof, resealing the other half (a procedure of questionable necessity), and did a poor job on my gutters. A seam in the gutter split and they did not function correctly after only a few months. He dis not repair the flashing on my chimney as promised. The subcontractors did a poor clean-up job leaving many roofing nails in my lawn. I would characterize his personality as aggressive, defensive, and unwilling to accept criticism. Moreover there was no response whatsoever to my complaint letter. He does not care about his customers and will not honor his contracts once he has your signature. This was a very disappointing experience and I would recommend against hiring him. Two years later my entire roof had to be replaced in its entirety. The work was performed by an excellent contractor for only slightly more than the cost of his shoddy repairs. Hire at your own risk. It is too bad that we need to hire attorneys before we sign any contracts because so many people conduct their businesses without any sense of ethical propriety. There are good and reliable contractors and service providers out there. I always give good reviews where they are warranted. Do your research and do not be pressured by aggressive sales persons. If you don't have a good feeling about what is happening just say no and move on.

Hamilton was extremely attentive to our needs and went way out of his way to make sure that I was satisfied with his services. The work done was very professional and completed in a very punctual manner. Excellent customer service!

Franklin Smith did great work. Their price was competitive; they showed up as promised and did everything in the project scope. He was honest and a good communicator. After the initial repair, he came back later to put second sealcoat on the bottom section so it would blend/match better the rest of the driveway. Several of our neighbors have had similar work (repairs to bottom section of driveway) and my observation is that Smith's work is by far the best.

I reached out to them to schedule the work in the fall of 2013. They were very busy and then they could not do the work because of winter. They apologized and said they would do the work for free. I have called and wrote them a letter again since and have not received any response.

I like the personal service from the guy that came out. He was professional, respectful, and courteous. They were efficient, they did the job quickly.
