Animal Rescues/Shelters
It was excellent, and this was our first time. It was an wonderful experience, and reasonably priced. They were wonderful, really into pets and animals. Responsive, and how to calm them.

They have volunteers that come in and give their time. The wait can be very long but the cost is cheaper and worth it. They are all good veterinarians

It went very well. They lead us through the process and did exactly as they said they would. Our pets were ready to go when we arrived to pick them up. The staff answered any questions we had and away we went.
I can't say enough good things about WARL. They love what they do, and do it well. I only wish our home had enough room for more furries to love and nurture!

Perfect. The clinic is well organized and prices are a small fraction of what commercial veterinarians charge.
This is the only "vet" we have used for our dogs for several years.

Excellent. This is a low cost clinic that provides basic pet veterinary services. They do an excellent job at a more than fair price. After paying way more at other vets we decided to have our kitten neuter at the clinic. Couldn't be happier.

Perfectly. We were delayed and arrived at WARL exactly at 5 PM, joining the line just as they began taking customers in. We left a half hour later. The staff was friendly and well organized.
The line had grown by the time we left, so we recommend getting there no later than 5 PM.

They were super helpful. Our dog had a broken bone in his paw when we adopted him and they took care of the medical procedures free of charge after we adopted him.

They were very thorough about checking that the cats would go to a good home. My cats are a blessing and great company. I recommend them to anyone.

Wonderfully. First, their service was quick and efficient. We arrived at 4:50 PM, were assigned number 7, saw te vet at about 5:10 PM and left at 5:20 PM. Our past visits to commercvial vets usually took longer than that, and WARL did not subject us to obnoxious sales pitches for pet insurance and other dubious services. One other nice touch: We decided to go out to dinner with the dog, and asked if anyone at WARL knew of a restaurant in the area. The cashier said he did, and took the trouble to look up and write the address for us. We and the dog enjoyed dinner in part through the thoughtfulness of a WARL staff member! Our last visit to a commercial vet (in September 2010) cost us $78.60 just for the bordetella vaccination. We estimate from experience that the service provided to us by WARL for $30 would cost $130-$200 at commercial vets. This is in part because they are a not-for-profit organization supported by donations and volunteers. If you can afford it, please consider donating at least part of your savings to them (it's tax deductible). Alternatives: We choose WARL becuase their facility is convenient to our Montgomery County home. We understand that similar services are provided by the Washington Humane Society in Southeast DC, and the Arlington Humans Socieety in Arlington, Virginia.

I noticed my 11 month old Lab-mix began limping slightly so I took him to the WARL hospital. They don't take walk-ins and the next available appt was in 2 wks. Luckily, later that day the receptionist called me and told me they had just had a cancellation for the next day and offered it to me. During the appt, the doctor could not feel any abnormalties and suggested x-rays. She also explained joint pain is a symptom of Lyme disease and explained the options of different blood tests and their costs. In the end, the x-rays showed nothing wrong and the blood test came back negative. She prescribed an anti-imflamatory to treat his pain.
