I like the access. They are open late so they can accommodate late drop offs. The interactions with them were good.

I took my dog to Wagtime Too, located in Capitol Hill. When I picked him up, he had several open cuts on his body. When I returned to drop him off again, I shared my concerns with the staff. They replied that, and quot;dogs will be dogsand quot; and my dog and quot;didn't seem too scarred by it.and quot; Hoping it was a one off incident, I left him for the day. Upon picking him up, he had a puncture bite wound under his chin and several more gaping cuts. It looked like he had been in a fight, completely roughed up. Not only did Wagtime staff not notice the bites or cuts, but they also didn't seem to care all. It's completely inexcusable that my dog's injuries not only occurred, but that they went unnoticed. My dog is now on preventative antibiotics to treat the large puncture wound under his chin. I will never bring my dog back to this place. As someone who spends thousands of dollars on boarding and dog daycare a year, I can tell you with authority that Wagtime is not well supervised.
Additionally, boarding is more expensive than competing kennels in the area. Daycare is also more expensive, unless you buy a $2,500 package.

I've used Wagtime for five years, since August of 2009. I pay for a package of daycare visit that might be $30 per visit. They babysit my doggies. It's wonderful. They have daycare, dog grooming and they also have a pet store botique in the daycare facility. The owners do a lot of rescue work so they'll take dogs from shelters or other rescue groups and they'll give them free daycare until they could find new parents and that's where I actually adopted my dog so I will always be eternally indebted to them. I would recommend them to do it.

Wagtime is great. I used them both in my prior apartment (Mt. Vernon Square) and they happily can still serve me in my house in Columbia Heights. I have a cat, and use them for in home visits when I go on vacation. Their prices are reasonable (given that it's Washington, DC, at least) and they are very professional and trustworthy.

I have been using WagTime's dog walking service for about a week with my 5 month old puppy. I called on very short notice and they were able to get someone on schedule for me by the following day. The dog walker assigned to my neighborhood (Maddie) is fantastic. Since my dog is still learning how to walk properly on a leash, the dog walker started walking her with another neighborhood dog to help keep her calm and she has gotten so much better. Maddie also brings her back to the house after the walk and lets her have some play time in the back yard with her walk buddy. She also leaves me notes each day letting me know how the walk went.
Overall I have been very pleased with the services provided.

It went well as always. She came back happy, clean, and well socialized. We have used Wagtime for a number of years, along with a few other similar businesses. We feel today that Wagtime is a really great place, it is the only one we are using now. We are happy with their service, and more importantly our dog seems happy with the pace.

While we have a very high energy dog the problem with wagtime is they take way too many dogs for daycare. He's a tough guy but always comes back with some sort of injury. One time we picked him up and he had been bitten by another dog during daycare, but I didn't notice until we got home because no one at the front desk told me about it. If they took less dogs I think it would be a much better dog boarding option. The most recent time he was only there for 24 hours and had multiple scratches on his stomach. when we picked him up.

I've used Wagtime DC for doggy daycare for several years. I've loved the pick up and drop off. The webcams are not reliable for me. Also the small dog center isn't wired for webcams, which made me very sad. The service has been excellent, from arriving early to very late pickups. I used a prepaid package so they were super great and flexible for me. The store was well stocked with what I was interested in, and they offered suggestions for product choices. Great place for doggy daycare, in my opinion.

We weren't regulars, but treated politely and professionally throughout. The grooming was good though not what I'd expected (it was the first time I got him groomed ever). I'd envisioned something a little different.

Our dog has visited WagTime for day care on several occasions. The staff are friendly and helpful. The entry area is a little small and cramped so getting in and out with a dog can be somewhat tricky. Also the register is in their store, and it's hard to concentrate on paying and getting out of there while your dog is distracted by all the toys and good smells.

Once I went to get her early because it looked pretty crowded online and I was worried that she wasn't having fun - the main reason for sending her is so that she plays, socializes, and generally runs around with other dogs. She was fine when I picked her up though. She is happier to see me when I pick her up from WagTime than she was at the place we used to go to (another city). I don't know if that means anything. My only concern about WagTime Doggie Daycare is the amount of dogs that seem to be in there when I flip on WagTV online. I also don't like that the webcam sucks and doesn't flip between the rooms or give enough clarity in picture to be absolutely certain that I am looking at the right dog. My old daycare had a much more advanced and functioning camera system and it was on 24hrs. I wouldn't leave my dog for boarding at WagTime at this point because of that. I've read some pretty sketchy reviews on the internet too, but I can't tell if it's just one person with a horror story or if there are lots of dissatisfied customers. I have been looking at other facilities, but I may very well take her there every once in a while til I find something great.

They first asked me to have the dog come in one day for free for day care to see how he managed with the other dogs. After that, he stayed for about eight nights. I picked up the dog and he was happy to see me, and a little stressed (it was his first time away from us), but not overly stressed out. He was his old self after a few hours. This is excellent. Now when i take him to day care there, he does not seem to mind at all.

When I was getting ready to go back to work after having been home for several months, I looked long and hard for a doggie daycare for my puppy. It was a frustrating search. Most of the daycares I saw closed at 7:00 PM, which seemed ridiculous given the amount that you pay for the service. The types of people who use doggy daycares don't leave work at 6:00 every night to make sure that they can pick up their dog before 7:00. Or, some that do stay open later charge a surcharge or charge by the hour, which makes them very expensive. With the largest package, Wagtime is about $10 less per day than most of the doggie daycares around (even those in the suburbs). I was hesitant to buy such a large package since they weren't refundable. I had heard horror stories from other dog owners whose dogs had been banned from various kennels for random things and, though she is the friendliest dog in the world, I feared that, as a puppy, my dog could randomly experience the same thing and I would be stuck with a large unusable credit. I took my dog in for a free trial day (most places charge extra for the trial) and the person on duty (I even thought she was the owner because she was so knowledgable and helpful) explained that the credit could be used for other things that they sell, which included the food I feed my dog that isn't sold that many places. She also assured me that my dog was fitting in great and would have no problems attending daycare. Buying the package (even the smaller packages) allows you to pick up your dog any day before midnight without any extra fees and for those who live in popular neighborhoods (unfortunately we do not), pickups and drop offs are also included as part of the packages. Wagtime also has "valet barking" which is helpful in the mornings, though lately the attendant has often been away delivering a dog to the play area when I pull up, so I have had to take my dog in myself, but its very handy otherwise. Also, when they accidentally sent my dog's halter and leash home with a dog with a similar name, they replaced it with a much nicer set. Wagtime does now have webcams and I hear that they have made many improvements since their previous location. I can see how they can be a little nonchalant when you inquire about some of the signs of rough play (per the other member's report from 2007), but for the most part, the owners and staff and incredibly caring. They put a lot of effort into dog rescue and always have rescue dogs there and advocate their adoptions. I'm sure there's a lot more that I could say, but for the most part, Wagtime gives you so much more for the money than any daycare I've seen!

I have a 1 year old beagle, who has never shown signs of aggression and has done well at 3 other day care facilities. He has now had his collar (thick 3/4 nylon double layered) chewed off twice, and the owner refuses to admit that it's a problem, she says it "happens all of the time." Even other employees admit that one incident would have had to take at least an hour for any size dog to chew through. Where's the supervision? The owner refuses to apologize and just says, I should buy a new collar each week. Apparently, there have been other complaints against this place, but there is no regulation in DC, so things just slip through. Visit other dog daycares. You'll notice the different. You'll notice other places are clean, don't require mounds of incense to mask smell, and there is total supervision, include video monitoring. I don't deny that Lisa and her employees are good people, they just run a bad business and there are better, safer places out there.
