"I am disappointed at his report. He had a virus issue on his PC, which required a reinstallation. After a couple of hours restoring the PC, while the tech waited through the installation process. It turns out he had lost the hardware drivers disk. His DSL also needed to be reinstalled & being Sat., store was closed and we could not get the account info for it to download any hardware drivers with his computer or with my laptop. I returned next day after successfully downloading the drivers at our office. I installed the drivers and even installed our Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition for free & asked him to return the Norton Antivirus he bought to the store for a refund. It took a total of 5 hours and I gave him a 1 hr discount, 20%% discount on total fees, & waived the onsite fees (for driving 40 miles round trip twice). Two issues here; 1. He said tech sat down doing nothing; Our explanation: Tech had to reinstall Windows XP on the computer and cannot do anything until the reinstallation completes. 2. Tech did not have tools; no tools were required beyond the factory restore disk he provided and the DSL account info to reinstall the DSL. He did not know this information, and was required to call for it on Monday (two days later). Even with my laptop, downloading the required drivers is impossible without his DSL account info from the DSL reinstallation. We hereby offer a free computer service on his next service request.
