Mortgage Companies
If you're looking for a mortage, look elsewhere! This was one of the worst companies that I have ever dealt with. Save yourself a lot of stress and headaches and look elsewhere for a mortgage.
Suntrust was recommended to me by my real estate agent. After my real estate agent and I were though closing on my house, I convinced my real estate agent to look elsewhere for a better mortgage company. THEY DID!! This cost my real estate agent 20-30K a year in fees that Suntrust gave to him, but he had to find another company or he'd receive a bad name himself. Here's a list of some of the problems with Suntrust:
- No returned phone calls, or emails.
- Questions left unanswered
-MISSED THE CLOSING DATE, TWICE!!!!
- All the preliminary documents were done incorrectly (the final documents were correct)
- They asked for the same EXACT documents three times (one would think that a bank wouldn't lose a document, especially 3 times)
I was also pre-approved for a lot more than I borrowed (I put down more than 50% in cash).The last time I closed on a house, there were absolutely no problems or issues, which is what one would expect.
I will never use Suntrust again, for anything. They caused a lot of stress and issues for my family by missing the closing date TWICE (we were new to the area and we were staying in a hotel at the time)!
