Tim Bills from Sentry Home Inspections was recommended to me from a previous client of Tim. Extremely satisfied with the level of detail and thorough job Tim did during his inspection. Inspection lasted about 3.5 hours and covered everything from attic to basement, roof and even the outside of the house. Upon completion of the inspection, Tim produced a professional report that listed everything he inspected, with pictures annotating all the trouble areas he located during the course of the inspection. Inspection also included a radon test, and cost $930. Highly recommend Tim and Sentry Home Inspections.

Very well. Tim was easy to contact and set up appointment, he was on time and extremely detailed in his inspection of the house. He sent us a 59 page report within 12 hours of finishing the inspection which was well organized and easy to follow.
Prices were a little higher than other companies, but it was well worth the cost.

I would higly recommend Tim Bills for this type of services. He was very punctual, professional and did't mind explain a few things to me while he inspected the palce so that I am a more informend home owner . I really appreciated that as a single female-ultimately I need to know all these things about my home. The report was issued as promissed or earlier. He was very detailed in his approach , like you would wish in such inspections. I felt that i was in good hands. His schedule is very busy so be prepared to wait at least 1 week to get on his calendar, but it's worth the wait!

Lou, our inspector showed up early and began working immediately. He was focused, stayed on task and worked non-stop. In addition he took the time to educate me about various facets of the home I was purchasing. He was seriously thorough and I was very pleased with the whole experience. I would use him again in a heartbeat. In about 3 hours he did a 3000 square foot home from top to bottom. He even used foot covers to make certain he didn't track any mud or debris inside.

Lou, our inspector, was GREAT!! He was extremely thorough, answered all our questions in depth, asked about our needs for the inspection, advised on areas he found to be in need of repair, and overall provided excellent service. The report was completed on time with full pictures. I was able to get in touch with him after the inspection to ask questions. He was very willing to help us get fully informed about the condition of the house we were thinking of purchasing. Overall, I walked away a smarter homebuyer because of Lou's thoroughness during the inspection and his willingness to help us understand where and what the problem areas were. I would absolutely recommend him and we plan on using him again.
Also, all Sentry inspections are done via electronic documentation which is VERY convenient and efficient for passing along to our other home buying advisors. We were VERY happy with the transaction in all.

tim performed two home inspections on properties i was in contract with. he was very thorough and provided detailed explanations and pictures of his findings after the inspection was complete. he emails the reports (1 detailed report and 1 summary report) following the inspection, they were in my inbox by the time i made it back to my office. he arrived on time and answered all of my concerns regarding his findings. my only gripe would be that i did email him a follow up question about a week or two after the inspection and did not receive a response. other than that, i would use him again.

Prior to inspection I had been told that I was fortunate to have this particular inspector, Tim Bills from Sentry. I have to concur that he is one of the best in this business. Tim was prompt and professional. He went through the steps of the inspection carefully and explained what he was doing along the way. He was very patient and answered all our questions as first-time homebuyers. His suggestions on maintenance schedules for the major systems were helpful. The final inspection report was delivered electronically the same evening. The inspection cost was a bit more than some other companies but if I had to have another inspection I would use Sentry (and Tim) again.

we first met Tim when he inspected our condo when we were the sellers. He inspected a home for us that we declined to purchase as well as a condo bought by my parents. Recently he inspected a home that we do plan on purchasing. He is very thorough and wants to educate you about the home you are about to buy. He shows you where the main water cut off is, what to look for in the hvac unit, points out all problems and anything you may need to be aware of. His online report is thorough and he goes over the whole report with you before leaving the property. Highly recommended, I'd love slightly higher resolution photos since I've used them to send to contractors for estimates for repairs.

I was planning to move into "the family home" and wanted to get a home inspection first. Tim was punctual, attentive, professional and very knowledgable. He took note of and explained what he saw. We got to the basement and found standing water so he couldn't finish the inspection. He offered us the option of putting the inspection on hold and rescheduling when the water had been cleared up. I emailed him later to say that we would not be finishing the inspection at that time and he charged us only his hourly rate. He also gave us names of contractors who could handle the repairs that needed to be made. He was very personable and helpful and I highly recommend him as a home inspector.

He showed up to the house on time, went right up to the roof, then the attic. He checked all the appliances, decks, every faucet and stopper, all the electrical outlets, etc.

The house we are thinking of buying is an attractive property in a good location, but having lived in townhouses, apartments and condos all my life, I have little knowledge about what red flags to look for in a house. Tim arrived about a half hour early and had already inspected the roof and landscaping. He did a great, detailed job both inside and outside, answered all our questions directly and honestly and caught things we never would have (e.g. problem with mice, drainage, mold, various worn seals and various hazards, etc.). He provided us with a detailed report (including pictures) a few hours later and provided recommendations for maintenance should we decide to move forward with the purchase. I give a strong recommendation and would definitely hire him again. He runs a very honest business.

Tim was extremely detail oriented. His thorough inspection turned up lot of details I'd never have noticed - like a painted over screw sticking out of the siding on the house. How did he even see that!? Because he took the time to take the covers off the HVACs and the Breaker boxes, he saw bad wiring and missing GFCIs. Every single defect found was documented with photos including overlaid arrows pointing to the specific defect in the photo. Tim offers a superior home inspection. The full report was made availabe as on the web so it was easy to share with everyone who needed it.

Tim was very accommodating and thorough (took a little more than an hour), and he sends you his report electronically, complete with pictures. Although there was nothing dramatically wrong with the condo, he did point out a few "good to know" things that I would never have known otherwise, like the fact that one of the electrical wires was the wrong diameter, or that I needed to replace the filter in my heater, or that I should replace the rubber hose of my washer/dryer with a steel hose. He came highly recommended by two different neighbors on my neighborhood Listserv, and I can see why they hold such high opinions of him.

I ve never had a home inspector that was so thorough. He was early, took digital pictures that I could access on his web page, did an excellent job and I would recommend him to anybody. Bill did the inspection himself. He is A.S.H.I certified which is very rare and important with home inspectors.
