We've used Northeast Iron Works exclusively for security gates on our property.  They installed the original gates and replaced window bars several years ago, and at the time had the best prices and most responsive service.  They recently returned to install a new rear gate following a renovation that changed the dimensions of our basement entrance.  Dan has been great to work with (he was out the same day to take measurements and provide a quote) and the installations have been trouble free.  Custom work is top notch, and we won't hesitate to use them again.

Northeast Ironworks did a great job. They value engineered the design, gave me a great price, and installed a high quality finished product. Dan was very easy to work with and responsive.  They had to cut some of the drywall and brick to secure the balcony and stairs to the house - they did this in a very neat and tidy way, which made it easier to patch the drywall. They left their work areas clean and removed all debris.  I would definitely work with Northeast Ironworks again, and would recommend them highly.

Fantastic job, installer arrived when expected. Measured window, and within a few days was back to install. Professionally done and they look great. Highly recommend them!

We found Northeast Iron Works to be very professional in their approach to the project. They were responsive and very timely in providing a bid, they turned around the work (railings for inside stairway and on front porch) in a very reasonable time, their product was excellent, and their price was very competitive. Unlike some of the other contractors we contacted for this project we had the impression from the beginning that Northeast Iron Works really knew what they were doing. I would not hesitate to work with them again.

Replaced damaged decorative iron support column in carport. They were not the best communicators, but when they said they would arrive for an estimate they did and when they said they would install it, they did and did a beautiful job. Not much head's up for either. I would give them an A if they had been in touch more. I can't comment on price, because we could not get any of the other companies we contacted (2 others) to give us an estimate.

Everything went well the installation was wonderful. We were satisfied with the work completed and the final product. THe company was very mericulous in cleaning up the area after installation. The only concern was the installation was scheduled for October 15 and on the day of installation no one showed and we had not received a call. My husband called and was told that the wrought iron was being painted and that it would be installed on tomorrow. If it were not for the government furlough my husband or I would have taken a day of leave unneccasarily. But overall, we were very satisfied with this company and would use them again in the future.

I had asked several contractors to look at the situation in our basement where a previous owner had removed a structural beam with the result that floors had been sagging over many years all the way to the top of our three-story row house. In the end, I purchased equipment to jack up the sagging joists in the basement myself, and Northeast Iron gave me an excellent price to pour concrete footings and install a new I-beam according to an engineer's specifications. Dan Pronio from Northeast Iron is an absolute gem to work with. He's so pleasant and reasonable and shows up exactly when we says he will. He was extremely accommodating to our situation and flexible to our needs. After his crew crew dug the footings, poured the concrete and allowed it to dry over several days, they returned with two 15-foot pieces of I-beam, hoisted them to the ceiling adjacent to where I had jacked up the joists, cut steel posts to support them, then bolted and welded everything in place. It was quite a feat to behold. Then they disassembled all of the columns and the temporary wooden beam I had used and stackdc it on the side. They left the basement spotless, and we never have to worry about our floors sagging again.
I highly recommend Northeast Iron for any iron work you might need.

Overall, we had a good experience. Northeast were quick to provide an estimate and to execute the work. The estimate was clear and easy to understand. The company was able to modify the estimate quickly when I wanted to add a design to the window bars. The installation was unobtrusive.

Everything went well as described above. Helped guide me to more aesthetic materials and looks to avoid unsightly look of conventional bars. Doors were secure and very well made. Installation techs were nice, prompt, curteous and performed additional security boosting measures on installation with no additional charge.

The overall experience was great! I called on a Thursday and scheduled an appointment for Friday morning. Dan came out, measured the windows, gave me a quote, and gave me an estimated installation completion date of the following Friday. Feeling secure inside my own home was well worth the price and the price was very cost effective.

The work was excellent and the installation was done quickly and on schedule. They provided a drawing for the DC permit process. Our only complaint was that the price increased a couple of times for reasons that were not clear to us, but in the end we reached a compromise.

Dan at Northeast Iron Works is great: we got an appointment with him the next day (after calling), he came and measured, got us a quote within 24 hours, and delivered installed our first order within 10 days. We later ordered another security door and a set of window bars. Everything was exactly as he described it, on-time and on-budget. Very cool guy - easy to work with. Would use him/them again.

The company was reluctant to do this small job but once Danny agreed it went very smoothly. He came out on time to take measurements, then came back a week later and installed the bars in about 5 minutes. He did everything on time and according to schedule, and charged the amount he said he'd charge. I thought the price was high but Northeast gave me the lowest of three quotes, so maybe my expectations were off.
