MCAULIFFE TILE

Our experience with McAuliffe Tile was excellent from start to finish.  The sales person was punctual and professional and supplied me with an estimate by email the next day.  This work was performed in a condo complex that has specific rules and papework requirements for contractors that can be challenging and annoying.  They supplied all the needed paperwork promptly and correctly the first time.  The work itself took two full days.  The workmen put up plastic sheeting that kept all the dust from removing the old tile from covering the rest of the apartment and cleaned up when they were done both days.  We asked them not to reinstall the breaker box cover when they were done, but then changed our mind and asked for their help a week later.   One of the workman returned the day following the request--this was clearly an imposition on their time through something that was our fault, and they helped out without complaint.  We are very pleased, both with the quality of the work and with the experience of working with MacAuliffe Tile, and recommend them without reservation.

McAuliffe Tile was one of several tilers recommended by the two tile shops from which we purchased our ceramic and travertine.  Called all of the recommended installers as well as several I found from Angie's List, getting several quotes, which were all over the map, with a few as high as double what I ended up paying.  I choose McAuliffe because they got back to me quickly, were flexible with availability (I didn't schedule them until a month and a half after they provided their quote), and they were the lowest initial bid.  While other installers eventually offered to come in at a lower cost, I decided to stick with McAuliffe as they were up-front with me from the beginning.  Blake, with whom I traded numerous, was great to work with during the bidding and scheduling process.  Very responsive at all hours. which is greatly appreciated.
Glad I stuck with McAuliffe, as they did good work.  Upon arrival on day 1, Tom asked the right questions and offered options and experienced opinions about all the little details of how I wanted the job done: tile offsets, options for handling a window in the shower, red guard application, framing changes, etc.  I am pleased with all of the decisions and wouldn't change a thing.  The guys Tom brought in were respectful of our home and cleaned up after themselves.  They even didn't have a problem working at our place alone with our two Labradors hanging out downstairs.    
All in all, great experience.  Would recommend McAuliffe Tile to anyone looking for solid, professional, reasonably-priced tile work.

Fantastic. Tom and his crew were great. In particular, the glass tile work they did came out beautiful. Glass tile is not an easy install so I give them a lot of credit. Crew cleaned up after themselves each day. Tom was easy to get a hold of when I had questions. In addition, he came in under budget. I have recommended them to friends and neighbors. All in all, a very positive experience.

McAuliffe Tile was recommended to me by a tile store, so I contacted Tom to schedule an appointment for an estimate. He was responsive initially and scheduled an appointment for early Saturday morning. He arrived on time and took measurements. Before he left, he stated that he would send me the proposal by Monday, but probably that Saturday evening. Monday came and went, but my husband and I decided to give him some extra time. My husband called and left a voicemail on Wednesday, yet received no return phone call. I called on Thursday and spoke to Tom. He stated that he had misplaced my e-mail address, so I gave it to him again and he said he would have the proposal to me by the next day. I still did not receive anything, so I called again on Friday and left a voicemail and have never heard back. I would have given the company an F, but he did respond initially and came to my house to take measurements. I'm guessing that my job was too small for Tom, but he should have told me that to begin with instead of wasting my time, especially so early on a day off! Very disappointed that he wouldn't even send me an estimate, nor return my phone call.

Miguel and Benjamin did an excellent job. They were professional, hardworking, courteous, and took pride in their work.

Excellent. Punctual. Professional. Pride in work. Tried to keep the "mess" to a minimum.

Did the work. Won't respond to complaints or requests to make it right.

Performed a number of jobs for a new apartment, very professional, job went well.
