He has a wonderful personality and understood what I needed. He didn't quiet understood what I had in mind as far as the devices, but willing to try. I will call him again for other electrical services.

We had extensive work completed in our basement. There were 2 electricians on site all day. They had to put small holes in ceiling to thread wires through. While they didn't patch the holes, they let me know ahead of time. The workers were very professional and friendly, and left the workspace clean.

The electricians found the lose wire within 10 minutes of walking in the door. I was extremely impressed with their work. They arrived early (about 15 minutes) and completed the work fast and efficient. They were very Friendly and professional. The cost was extremely responsible. I highly recommend Marks Electrical Services and I will definitely call them again.

Just what you would want from a vendor. I am very satisfied.

There was about 30 hours of work to be done, and the person assigned to the job, Rick, stretched that over three months. This caused conflicts with another contractor: you can't put up the drywall until the electrical is in, and there are ton of things that you can't do until the drywall is up, so if the electrician isn't showing up, you have a team of people sitting on their hands. Eventually, the drywall went up without the electrical, and then Rick complained to me that he had to cut holes in the wall to fish the lines through, and then the other contractor complained to me that somebody just cut holes all over his drywall that now he had to patch. This sort of failure to do relatively simple coordination repeated itself a few times. I called Mark about the no-shows and lack of communication somewhere in there. Mark told me that Rick's performance is between me and Rick, and he's staying out of it. So the company's named and quot;Marks electricand quot;, but Mark was explicit to me that he's not responsible for the performance of his employees. On the plus side, the work was fundamentally competent: the sub-panel they installed works, most of the lights come on, and the house hasn't burned down. Since then, I've re-hung the chandelier they installed, because it seemed wrong to me that they used the ground wire to bear the load of the light instead of using the chain to bear the load. There's a vestibule entrance to the house, and I hired another electrician to move the light from where Rick put it, just outside the vestibule, to the more natural placement inside, as per the architect's drawings. I've removed a motion sensor at the top of a staircase that senses motion in a nearby hallway, not on the stairs. I discussed the mis-placement with Mark's electrician at the time, and he wasn't inclined to fix it. The light fixture for that one fell out of the plaster after a few weeks, so I had somebody re-hang that too. Still on my to-do list: hire somebody to re-install the fan in the living room, which never worked, even the day after Rick's team installed it; rewire two light fixtures that just stopped working one day; and redo a circuit for a hall light that recently stopped working. It seems Mark's electric gets good ratings for the two-hour get-in-and-go projects, but the organization required to do renovation-level work was lacking.

Rick Harris is simply great. he and his team arrived on time. Pulled the permits from DC, and got it done w/in the two week time period. Was on had to meet w/ DC inspectors. Can't be happier. am gonna use him again to create a second meter for my English basement.

MARK'S TRACE THE PROBLEM TO THE SOURCE AND MADE THE REQUIRED CORRECTIONS.

He was pretty good. He seemed to be more of a smaller contractor. A guy that does some property management highly recommended him to me. He did great stuff. He fixed something that another group didn't know how to fix. That made his service even more outstanding that other people couldn't do it. It didn't take too long for him to get it done. I'm thinking about having him come again to do more work in the main house. His prices were good. Once I talked to him, he came out and fixed it so he was pretty responsive.

After arriving 10 minutes ahead of schedule, the guys had the problem diagnosed (loose wire in circuit breaker box) and fixed, and they checked all of the other wires in the box to make sure that it would not happen to any of the other circuits.

Mike Marks and his team arrived right at the end of the half-hour window he told me to expect them; I appreciated this punctuality, which unfortunately is a rarity in my experience in DC! I was pleased overall. They cleaned up after themselves and were professional and polite the whole time, answering my questions patiently. Mike's team performed most of the labor and he just came for the first hour or so and then again at the end of the day. I paid about what I was expecting for all the work.

We were very satisfied with their service. They came within a couple of days. They came when they said and did the work I asked them too and an addition job I needed. They seemed knowledgeable in their field and explained why we should do things. They could tell me the exact cost. They said they would be here between 10:00 and 12:00 and they were here at 10:15.

He came out on time and fixed my light fixture. He was very professional. It was giving me a hard time and he found out the problem. We found out that a sensor needed replaced. It turned out to be the fixture not the switches.

Overall, really great. Eric is an experienced pro and really knows his way around old houses. I probably would not trust anyone else for electrical work more than I trust Eric. The crew was also very competent, friendly and helpful. They did try very hard not to make a mess, but well, with so much work there was plenty of dust to go around. I guess my only suggestion is to bring a shop vac to catch as much dust as possible up front.

I used them because they had good reviews on Angie's List and their proximity to the location I was having them work on. I will use them again in the future.

Contacted the company on a Friday morning, left a message and they called me back that evening. I described the work needed and they said they were able to do it the next morning. The employees arrived at the appointed time and completed the work quickly. The master electrician didn't mind answering my questions and also took the time to ensure that we were satisfied with the height of the new chandelier light.

Showed up on time, were extremely courteous and professional, did the work VERY quickly and without interrupting much of the house. The repairs have been going strong for a few months now so I know they were done well. And to top it all off, it was very cheap. If I could give them an A++ I would - much better than any other contractors I have ever dealt with.

Called company TWICE and left a voicemail - never heard back. Sloppy sloppy sloppy.

They were very prompt, arriving within 2 hours after my first call for an estimate. Very nice gentlemen, who even put my air conditioner in the window! A little pricey for 30 minutes of work, but I'm very happy with the work.

I didn't have electricity in most of my living room and part of another room. They traced the problem and fixed it. The problem that kept tripping my power was the source of an outdoor outlet. They disabled the switch to the outdoor source so that the problems won't continue. I'll be calling them again to fix that at another time. I'm now all good and everything is fixed!

Company failed to provide estimate or follow-up with me.

The job went very well. I would recommend them because they are very reliable and on time. I have used them a number of times. I spent $100 the last time I used them. I will use them again in the future.

We have used them for pretty much all the electrical work in our house. We had them go around in the house to replace every single electrical outlet. They painted some chandeliers. We also had some work done on the outdoor lamp. They were here for four to five hours. They are wonderful, but I think they are a little bit more expensive than some other electricians. However, I feel safer with them because they really know what they are doing. They put in boxes for everything and fixed some very old wiring too. I really trust them.
