Jimmy was very professional and did work as promised. He is always cheerful. The work looks good and solid. Jimmy knows what he is doing. Also gave advice on and fixed a few other very minor issues in my house without extra charge. He communicates best by text message. Materials were not included in the quotes and those can get expensive but he checked prices of things with me before buying.

We hired Jimmy Chavez to replace siding and repair water damage on a porch. His workmen left a huge mess, damaged part of our attic, and mispainted the porch. Despite my requests to have him fix the outstanding issues, he refused.

Jimmy was responsive starting with our first outreach to the company through the project being completed. The work was done meticulously and Jimmy and his team left no trace of the work behind. He built out the half-wall and built-in bookshelf off-site and then installed them. He also cut the butcher block countertop for us and installed. Jimmy and his team were professional and we will definitely be using JC Home Improvement LLC again for future projects.

We just finished our third project with JC Home Improvement since purchasing our home and have been very happy with the work time and again. We have recommended the company to friends and neighbors, and will continue to work with them on future projects. The quality of the work performed is very high, and Jimmy's prices are competitive. The two major projects we've done with JC Home Improvement (kitchen remodel and an indoor sun porch remodel) have really transformed the spaces, and made us get much more use out of these rooms. He will give you options and doesn't try to talk you into doing something just to increase the cost of the project. He's very honest about options, and will give you choices when drafting proposals. He's also very easy to talk to about any questions/concerns you may have. Something we really appreciated was that his crews made an effort to clean up thoroughly at the end of every day so we could live in our house comfortably while getting work done. Highly recommend.

Absolutely FIRST-RATE from start to finish. Jimmy Chevez is an excellent contractor who gives honest estimates, is quick and efficient in his work, stays in close touch with the client about what he's doing and about scheduling the work, charges very reasonable fees and earns them. This time he had to replace the old floor completely after they'd pulled up the old tile and seen the mess underneath, so they did that (Durock), laid down new tiles, made and hung a new door because the new floor was about 1-1/2 inches below the old one once they'd cleared out all the unnecessary and unusable old stuff, and did what little touch-up painting where needed. It took them parts of 5 or 6 work days (he'd originally said 5 to 8), and every day when they'd finished their work, they cleaned up after themselves so there wasn't even a speck of dust to be seen. Jimmy and his workers are cheerful and courteous, always willing to listen and answer questions. I'll hire him again for any other projects in my condo, and recommend him with no reservations whatsoever.

Jimmy Chavez is an amazing carpenter. We bought a apt. built in an early 1900's in a nice Washington, DC location near the cathedral for our daughter. He removed some walls, put in doors, patched floors, redo on kitchen, painting, and electrical. Jimmy matched the moldings perfectly and made all the new work look like the same period as the old. It is beautiful!! His is very talented and exceeded our expectations. He was highly recommended by our real estate broker. We thought his prices were very reasonable for the excellent job we received. We would certainly recommend him.

Couldn't have been better, start to finish. Jimmy Chevez stuck to the estimate he'd sent me after looking at the wall, showed up at exactly the day and time he'd arranged, and did the work quickly but thoroughly. He's taken a paint chip from the wall when he looked at it so he could match it when he bought the paint they re-applied. He and the 2 assistants were totally professional. I'm so pleased with the work that I'm looking at my budget to see when I'll be able to afford having Jimmy replace the bathroom floor. He knows his business, and is totally honest and reliable.

It went amazing, better than I expected. My wife and I are both architects - professionally trained to spot mistakes in General Contractors' work - and we have only the highest praise for Jimmy and his crew. Their day to day progress was impressive, their ability to keep the rest of my house clean during construction was top notch (they provided a zippered plastic entry to the work site, and filtered all my HVAC returns, and more), and he was calm and reassuring under pressure. The craftsmanship of the final product was wonderful. Truly a great team to have done our renovation.
