It went very well, they were very professional, on time, they did a wonderful job in packing things up and very respectful.

The Gentle Giant team was professional, courteous and careful with my belongings from start to finish. A crew met my parents at the storage unit in Mass., cataloged each box and item, ensured everything was properly sealed and/or protected and packed the items into the truck for shipping. My dad, who is extremely hard to please, called to let me know how impressed he was with them. The DC crew that delivered my stuff was equally impressive. Not a single item or wall was damaged, and they provided solutions to moving large items through tight spaces (like sawing queen box springs to fold in half and get upstairs, then securing them after in place). The crew of three moved my 3-bedroom house in a matter of a few hours. I’d hire them again, for sure!

It was great! First, my wife called to schedule and spoke with David, who explained in detail how the process worked and what charges would be involved after asking for extensive detail on the quantity and size of items to be moved. We were quoted a range of prices (depending on the number of hours of labor ultimately needed) from $588 and $888. The time is billed from the time they leave their facility until the time they arrive back there, which would be about half an hour each way for our location. It took a day or two to decide for certain on the exact day and time to schedule, and we ultimately scheduled for 7:00AM on a Monday morning. He told us they would leave between 7:00AM and 7:30AM. They gave us a call when they left at 7:15AM and arrived about half an hour later. Upon arrival, they managed to get the extremely large truck backed up into our driveway--we were impressed. Andre and Kyle were very professional, friendly, and amazingly strong and speedy. Andre made sure to clearly explain everything that we were going to be billed for and all the releases and approvals we were signing. The two of them easily moved boxes we could barely lift, and carefully padded and moved all of the furniture onto the truck, even items we had not anticipated in our initial quote. The packing process took a little over an hour, which was quite a bit faster than we had imagined would be possible given the number of boxes and the amount of furniture that we asked them to move. They left our house first, and we followed after them a minute or two later. By the time we pulled up at the new apartment, they were already parked in the spots we had reserved for the morning and had prepared to unload. They unloaded everything and asked where each item needed to go in advance and then again as each item was actually brought in, just in case we'd changed our minds. They were extremely quick, professional, and careful with everything. Andre even offered to assemble a table for us that we had disassembled prior to their arrival! The unpacking process took about an hour, and that includes the time Andre spent helping assemble the table. At the end, as Kyle packed up the truck, Andre, again, very clearly explained what we would be charged and why. We were billed for 3.5 hours plus tape, mattress cover, and fuel, which as noted elsewhere, added up to about $630, at the low end of the estimate range. We still can't believe how fast they were, particularly given that it was a hot, humid, and sunny morning. If we had done the move ourselves, we would probably still be trying to finish. And, as previously noted, David, Andre, and Kyle were all outstanding and a joy to work with. Should we have reason to move again, we will definitely be hiring Gentle Giants. Thank you guys so much!

After calling several moving companies with no Saturday appointments available, Gentle Giants squeezed us in for our move. We had 3 movers and they did a great job. Nothing was broken, nothing was damaged. They worked hard the whole time and were willing to help assemble and arrange furniture to our preference.

Excellent !!! These guys did a great job moving us. They came on time, worked hard and efficient. They reassembled all our furniture back in a new house. But what is the most important, they honored their price quote which said "Do not exceed" certain amount. Their price was also very reasonable compared to other moving companies. We had very smooth move. Highly recommend.

If I had to rate Gentle Giant Moving on a scale of 1 to 10,
I would give them One Hundred! They are by far the best mover I have ever used,
and I have had to use many.
Recently I had to close down and move one of my offices, and
move the contents to three separate locations, including one 60 miles away and
two in the metropolitan area.
In planning for the move, I discussed the total picture and
we agreed to do this operation in three separate moves.
1.   
They were extremely easy to work with in setting
up the moves.
2.   
They showed up on time and always kept me
informed by cell phone when and where they were.
3.   
The moving teams were friendly and extremely
professional.
4.   
They protected everything extremely well,
wrapping the furniture and art work, and also protecting the walls and
woodwork, as well as a new floor (by putting down special padding).
5.   
They were fast and efficient, but never rushed ?
they were cautious and treated all the items being moved carefully. They paid close
attention to instructions.
6.   
They even dropped off a load of excess furniture
and other items for me at a local charity and obtained a receipt for me.
7.   
Not a single item was damaged or misplaced, and
no walls, woodwork or other features were damaged at all. Perfect!
In short, they made this whole project as painless as possible.
Their charges were extremely fair and reasonable. 
If I ever had to move again, I would hire Gentle Giant again
without question.

Once again, I had a great experience with Gentle Giant.  This is the fifth or sixth time that I have used the company for various move-related tasks, and each time, the overall experience has been nothing but positive.  The Gentle Giant teams are always prompt, courteous, reliable, and they truly know their craft and are very skilled and careful in accomplishing their client's objectives.

This time around, I needed for the team to hoist two large and heavy pieces of furniture up into my loft home office, all while navigating a narrow and tricky spiral staircase to get up there.  Yes, they had the necessary physical manpower to do the job, but once again, the team was very careful to avoid doing any damage either to the furniture of my condo, and they were very resourceful in finding the best way forward, and then executing it skillfully.

I've probably now encountered 10 or 12 different Gentle Giant employees during my several experiences with the company, and without exception, they have all been pleasant, conscientious and capable.  That speaks well of Gentle Giant's hiring and training practices.  I will definitely call them again when the need arises.

I have 2 moves with Gentle Giant in the last few months, one of which went extremely well and one which has been a total headache. I'm not sure I would use or recommend Gentle Giant again at this point.
The first move was a pick up of furniture to be moved into Gentle Giant storage. The move estimate process was relatively easy and set up quickly. The guys who actually moved our things were polite and professional. The move estimate was near exactly what was charged at the end of the move.
With the second move, the labor cost more per hour for fewer movers compared to the first. The total number of labor hours billed was much more than estimated (resulting in a much higher overall payment), despite the actual volume of items moved into storage being the same as what was estimated. Once the items were in storage, vague invoices arrived without shipment numbers and for totals that I could not reconcile because it simply said 'vault storage' and didn't indicate how many vaults I was being charged for. Several phone calls to Gentle Giant helped clarify that both my shipments had been wrapped into one invoice, which was again unclear because there is no detail on the invoice. Separately, I've been charged for another month of storage without having received an invoice.
I cringe at the expense (and billing issues) of having to use Gentle Giant to take our things out of their storage. We'll likely use another company.

This was my third time using Gentle Giant for smaller move-related purposes, and once again, it was a 100% positive experience working with them.  Like the moving teams from Gentle Giant who had moved furniture for me in the past, the two guys sent this time were punctual, pleasant, fit and thus worked fast, careful, and communicated very well.  They were knowledgable and professional.  I highly recommend Gentle Giant, and already have plans to call on them again in the near future to move some furniture.

The service went fine. I was a little surprised because they had told me that they would be there between 1 and 4, and they called me at 1:45 and told me they would be there at 2:30, but they were there 15 minutes late. I figured the job would be about 2 hours, and when we finished it was 5pm. I got charged for 3 and half hours, and I didn't realize that part of the charge. Part of the charge was from the warehouse to the house. Even though the job was 2hours and 15 minutes, the 3 and half hours was travel to and from the warehouse. I don't know if that is normal in the moving industry, but I was in a bind to get the job done quickly, so I didn't have time to shop around. The guys who worked, they worked hard, I was pleased with what they did, but I was disappointed because I didn't anticipate that an hour and half would be nonwork charge. I would recommend them, but I think anybody who goes in, needs to know what exactly they are paying for. I had planned the move on Saturday, and I pulled my back on Wednesday, so I couldn't do anything. I called them on Friday, and so they were responsive. They did a good job, they were quick, and right on top of things.

Outstanding service. Arrived a few minutes early and quickly assessed and got to work. Very professional and energetic and willing to go the extra step. Nothing seemed overly complicated or risky despite drizzling rain and windy conditions. All pieces padded and wrapped securely. Smoothest move I've ever made.

My husband and I ADORE Gentle Giant.  They were incredible.  The movers were so friendly, nice, and helpful and they packed our items with professionalism and care.  They were prompt, communicative and efficient.  All contact with the main office of Gentle Giant was also very prompt and as helpful as possible.  They adapted quickly to our changing move plans and made everything easy. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Gentle Giant. I would recommend them to anyone and can't wait to use them again.

The experience was great from start to finish. They have a very organized system where someone gives you a through quote upfront and then you get a follow up call from a scheduler to make sure everything is ready for your move.On the day of the move they arrived when they said they would and actually had one more person than promised. They were very dilligent in carefully wrapping up items that were delicate and packed the truck quickly. The entire move went much faster than we had anticipated which was nice. This the second time we have used them and both times has been great.
