Called the provider and asked if he could repair broken vinyl winows in my mother's home. He said yes and that he would come would come out later to inspect the windows. He came out and looked at the windows, took measurements and left without giving her an estimate. Icalled him later that day after mom told me that he did stop by and he told me that he could do the job and that he would have the replacements for the broken windos by the following Tuesday. On Tuesday he called me and informed me that he should have the windows in on Friday or Saturday. He did not call or show up on Saturday, so I called on the following Tuesday. He said that he had the windows and that he could not come and replace the windows in my mother's home until Friday because of a 2 day Holiday. He promised me that he would definitely be there to start at 10am on Friday. At 1030am I called him and he said that he was on his way and that it would take him one half hour to get there. He finally arrived around 1130am and appologized for his lateness. He went about doing the work he promised and when he finished, he took me around and showed me the work that he had done and explained what was done to get the work done and he also cautioned me tha the window were old an should be replaced. Although he initially charged me $560.00, I told him that I was an Angie's list member and that my mother was a senior citizen. He told me without hesitation that he would only charge me $500.00 dollars and that he was truly sorry for the trouble he put us through the in past week. He was a very professional and friendly person. I understand that sometimes unavoidable things can happen and he was very appologetic an willing to work thing out to get the work done. He also offered to call in another person to get the job done during the two days that he could not make it. I told him no and that I would wait for him to complete the job.

Arrived quickly to inspect and measure broken window. Said they would call back on Wednesday to schedule the installation, but no word from them so we called them on Friday. They came the following Monday and installed the window. Great price, great install, saved us money by repairing the original frame rather than installing a new frame. Overall happy with service, no problems other than 2 day delay in getting window installed. Would use again.

As noted above, it was an excellent experience (aside from breaking the window in the first place, of course). I would not hesitate to recommend District Glass for this type of repair.

Rachid was very punctual (unlike most of the other reps) and I was immediately impressed by his knowledge and willingness to explain everything to me. After a little negotiation we agreed on an excellent price which none of his competitors could beat. He arranged for the specialized window to be made and installed it promptly and efficiently.
Just watching him work I could tell he was a real professional who knew exactly what he was doing. He fitted the new window within half an hour, including taking away the broken 6' x 4' pane and cleaning up thoroughly. Throughout the process he was very willing to explain to me what was to be done.
All in all the whole experience could not have gone any better and I would not hesitate to use him again and recommend him completely to others.

Rachid came for an estimate the day I called, and measured for an insulated glass repair on one part of my bedroom window. He called me a week later when it arrived, with custom painted grids, and installed in himself. Other than a little broken glass (due to manufacturer glueing it to the frame originally), it looks great and the color is perfect.
