The original foreman (Alonzo) was great in the beginning. He helped me design the renovation and went with me to select materials. The job began on schedule. It was supposed to take 2 months; it took 8, and 11 months later, there are still things that need to be fixed. Supplier delivery delays and damaged materials outside Crawford's control caused some of the delay, but most was due to mismanagement and lack of skill to do the job as promised. By month 4, the flooring, shower, cabinetry, and fixtures were incomplete. Phil and Beth (the owners) took over management and hired a subcontractor. It took 2 more months to finish enough so I could move in. After that, Phil and the subcontractor finished some of the punch list. I became convinced that they did not have the skill to finish the remaining work, so we agreed on a slightly reduced price and called the contract "complete."
