The owner or manager, Jamison Taylor is a very nice guy and very responsive. That's the only good thing I have to say about the company. After our small condo building was broken into, American Aluminum installed three steel unit doors and the front entry doors. They were the only company that wanted the job. The phone system was frustrating to deal with. The voice mail is unavailable when the office isn't open, and when it is open, the mailbox fills up quickly. I had to get Mr. Taylor's cell phone number from him to do business. Once the job was underway, the workman (NOT Mr. Taylor) ruined the new lock bought by one owner. Then, two of the three new steel doors arrived dented and were installed anyway. The workmen didn't use drop cloths when they installed the inside doors, so they deposited caulk on one owner's handmade rug. One of the doors would not close at all. Another one did not fit the new steel door frame and had to be re-manufactured. In the process, they gouged the walls. Their painting skills were even worse. They reused our 10-year-old paint instead of buying fresh, and the gloppy oil paint on the outside doors never dried. They trailed oil paint in the foyer and spattered it on the cement walks. I bought fresh paint and made them redo the work. I gave them mineral spirits to clean up the drips. I had to direct them to paint the walls around the newly installed doors or they would have left the spackle unpainted. The new outside French doors were hung improperly, with the narrow wood panel toward the center, so that the doorknob hangs over the glass panel. The lock on the outside doors was installed incorrectly, and the doors often would not open from the outside. We had to call another locksmith, who spent half a day re-installing the lock. A year later, the knob came off in my hand because the wood panel is too narrow to hold the mechanism securely. To his credit, Mr. Taylor responded to each of our complaints promptly and performed each of the jobs on our punch list. However, a year later, we are trying to replace our front doors again because the job was so unsatisfactory.

Gene Williams, Construction Manager, and crew installed awning. Downspout was dislodged during re-routing. The awning leaks where joined to the house, rain drips off awning back onto deck as if awning not there. The water is also causing erosion around concrete walk and steps under deck. This company was contacted by phone and letters with no results.
