This is a lousy company. I have used them for 10+ years and finally had enough. I asked the Broker-In-Charge (Chet) to replace the property manager (Linda). He refused. Below is a copy of my last email to them.
OK. I?ve done your work for you.
You will be contacted by Rebecca from Moore Appliance, 265 Commerce Ave, Southern Pines, NC, 28387, phone # (910) 277-4342.
-
She will send a repair person to remove the part (#WB27K5107).
-
She will send the part to FixYourBoard.com LLC, in Austin TX phone # (512) 355-1108.
-
They will repair it for $160 including shipping, within 3 business days. They warrant the part for 2-years.
-
Then Moore Appliance will again contact you to set up a time to reinstall the part.
I have already made arrangements to pay both Moore and FixYourBoard.com.
Please note that I had to do the following:
-
provide you with the proper stove model number (yours was incorrect)
-
discover the part number that needed to be replaced/repaired (you were unable to give that to me)
-
find a service to repair the part
-
find a service to remove and replace the part.
The above is part of what I?m paying you to do.
Linda: In a series of emails, you ask what I wanted done. Below are 2 specific instructions that were ignored.
First
?I want you to use your best judgment, and decide how best to fix the problem. Replace if needed. Cut if needed.?
Second (later that day)
?Here?s what I would like done.
-
Remove the part.
-
Contact one or all of the above companies, and verify their ability to repair the part.
-
Select the company that can do the job the quickest. (as long as price is comparable)?
Why did you not follow these instructions?
Chet: First you say that ?it appears ? that she has handled [my] property professionally?. However, it appears to me that she is unable to follow basic instructions. I don?t consider that professional. Then Later, you have the gall to respond that you ?do not plan to do anything?. What on earth do you think am I paying for?
The tenant has been without a working stove for several days.
I have been with your company for 10+ years.
Horrible customer service on both ends.
