Fixed the roof in a timely manner.

After reading Angie's List reviews, I called up several roofers to schedule estimates for leaks we were having the Friday before a holiday weekend. A gentleman answered the phone when I contacted Advanced Roofing and after describing what was going on, he stated that he'd try and come out that Friday but if not Friday, then the following Tuesday, which I was fine with. Tuesday passed with no contact. I received a phone call the next Monday (about 10 days after my initial call) from a lady who was following up. She stated that someone would try to call me back to schedule an estimate later on in the week based on the weather. I just requested that they give me a ~2 day notice to ensure someone could be home. At this point, I was still willing to overlook the lack of communication after the initial contact because the Angie's List reviews were so great and I understand how busy it can get right after a holiday. Friday came and I still had not heard from anyone from Advanced (14 days after my initial call). Everyone that I spoke with over the phone was cordial and the other Angie's List reviews seemed to be promising however, communication appeared to be lacking. UPDATE: I promptly received a voicemail from the company owner's wife. She explained that they weren't able to call or come out due to urgent circumstances out of their control during this time period. She was very apologetic, nice, and willing to work with me to get an estimate as soon as possible. I returned her call the next day and left a message thanking her. I've updated my review to reflect this. I'll keep Advanced in mind should another roofing issue come up.

Again the entire job was excellent , performed by a master roofer who is very detail oriented. He worked hard to solve all our problems and beautify our house, He went far above the usual to help us with all our concerns! Bravo!

After a long and unsuccessful search for a good roofer on my own , my luck changed once I joined Angie's List . As a new member I was able to make a better choice from the 4 roofers I interviewed and finally settled with a man with much integrity, David Hand President of Advance Roofing Company.He gave me a competitive verbal estimate on site, followed by a thorough written estimate explaining all the details of the project the very next day as promised. He came across as a very knowledgeable roofer who was also very affable. I was anxious to start the project due to the inclement weather in October and November. David and his crew started the project promptly and completed a perfect job in a timely fashion. It was finished before Thanksgiving. After completion and before Christmas water and debris were collecting in one of the gutters. Anticipating a snow storm, David sent his foreman, Mariusz. With a head lamp, he adjusted and cleaned the gutter in frigid weather! David keeps his word and pleases his customer. He has earned an A plus grade and he has my unequivocal stamp of approval to all. He has become my friend and roofer for life.

When Hurricane Sandy blew through in late October 2012, our church building lost more than 30 shingles from off the roof. The building had been re-roofed over 17 years before when a second layer of new shingles was laid over the old existing roof. With winter soon coming and snow expected, we needed the old roof removed and a new roof added as soon as possible. Calls were put out to 5 area roofers. Some were from church member recommendations and others were well-rated roofers from Angie?s List. Of the 5 originally contacted, only 2 responded and David Hand from Advanced Roofing Co., Inc. was the only one to come through with a bid, which we felt was competitive. Also, our insurance adjuster who came out to inspect the damage prior to the start of the job commented that he was very impressed with Advanced Roofing and that we were fortunate to have gotten them to do the job for us. Once we got membership approval to proceed, Advanced Roofing scheduled the project in a timely manner. The team that came out worked quickly and efficiently to strip off sections of the old roof and replace the shingles before proceeding to another section. They also did a good job of picking up the debris, keeping sidewalks clear and minimizing the amount space taking up by the dumpster, etc. One problem we encountered was one of the storm windows on the church cracked from falling debris. Advanced Roofing made us aware of the problem immediately and took care of replacing the glass for us. The entire project was completed in 3 working days, despite some snow on the north face of the roof, and the new roof looks great. We were very pleased with the quality of their workmanship and with how efficiently they worked. We are happy to add to Advanced Roofing?s list of positive endorsements on Angie?s List.

The workmanship was excellent and completed in a timely manner. Zero debris left around the house. David is very knowledgeable, honest and an all around nice guy. My only regret is that I didn't use Advanced Roofing to replace the roof five years earlier!

We had a leak coming through a potted lamp in our dining room ceiling - unfortunately I had no idea what was wrong, since (although it was raining) there was nothing else that highlighted why the leak might have started. I called AR Co and they came out within about an hour and a half, in the rain, and sorted out the issue. They are now my default roofing company, who I will call in future whenever I have a problem.

An excellent experience with David Hand, president of Advanced Roofing, and the Advanced Roofing team. We have a large and complex 8,000 sq. ft. roof. When we bought our house several years ago, it had a cedar shingle roof. We kept losing shingles that needed to be replaced and David Hand was one of the very few roofers that took the time to replace them whenever we called him for help. We finally decided to replace our wood roof with a no maintenance GAF High Definition asphalt shingle roof and contacted several roofing companies for estimates. David promptly gave us a detailed and very competitive written estimate. He also took the time to explain to us the work that needed to be done, including the removal of the existing wood roof, installation of plywood, installation of an ice and water shield membrane and copper vent pipe boot flashings, among other work. Once we signed the contract, David communicated with us frequently to let us know when he would be starting our job. The work was started when promised and despite several rainy days when work had to be stopped, he finished the job right on time. We also liked the fact that David had an experienced foreman on site at all times and he was always there to answer any questions that we had. We were very pleased with the team, several of which have been with David for over ten years. The team worked long hours to stay on schedule, was courteous and professional and was very careful to make sure that our family members were not in harms way as the large amount of original roofing material was removed. At the end of each day the team cleaned up any debris in our yard. Upon completion of the job, our attic was vacuumed and the large dumpster containing all the debris was promptly removed. David also walked the premises with us to make sure that we were happy with the work. All in all, replacing a roof of this size and complexity is a major undertaking for everyone. David and his team made the process a quick and virtually painless one for us and we ended up with a beautiful new roof that we really love. We highly recommend David Hand and Advanced Roofing.

All and all I would thoroughly recommend them. Dave and his foreman took time to clearly discuss all the options and kept us informed through. Great work.

They have come out to do a roof check and looked at a few things that could cause our leak. Also stated the quality of the roof is terrible. We recommended we put a tarp over the chimney. We are now waiting for an estimate for a new roof. Just did a great job on the check, just a very punctual and professional guy.

Very satisfied with David - seemed very honest and professional. Had interviewed several other reputable area roofers, but David had left me with best impression. Was very responsive to inquiries and we were pleased with quality of completed project. Cleanup of roof debris from yard was excellent. Would highly recommend.

David came in the same week to give us an estimate. Great responsiveness and even better price. Gave suggestions on what additional things might need repair without trying to push unnecessary services. The crew was punctual and very professional. Every day cleaned up the site before they left and made it a no-hassle experience for us. We would definitely use the company again and will most definitely recommend it. We liked the small business, personal attention.

The service was fantastic. A week after I called to inquire about fixing the shed roof, it was completedand done well. Great job.

Work was performed as quoted. Work crew was very professional, courteous and left the worksite clean after the finished the job.David was on site several times during the work to make sure all was being do correctly although the men knew their jobs.I would recommend Advanced Roofing to anyone looking for a new roof.

Good communication by phone, email and text messages. Start of work was delayed a few days by another job, but once work was begun it was completed very speedily and efficiently, with occasional breaks due to weather. Impressive equipment & hard-working crew of up to 5 men. We paid extra for tarping the attic and replacing rotted wood in roof deck along gutter (roofer also replaced a broken gutter for us), but other than that, the final cost was as indicated on the estimate - though it was one of the pricier of several companies we checked out. Clean-up was thorough - discarded shingles & other junk were placed in a dumpster and hauled off after job ended, and driveway was left clear of debris and nails. Tarps protected plantings along foundations & porch, but some minor damage to azalea bushes due to extreme heat on tarps. All in all, a very professional job, done by courteous, hard-working & efficient crew and directed by extremely knowledgeable owner. A pleasure to do business with this company, and worth the extra cost.

Felt comfortable and confident that David and his team would do a professional job. If not for the Big Deal offer from a competitor, he would have most likely been awarded the work.

David Hand came out to provide an estimate to replace our 25 year old roofing shingles. He was very cordial and professional. Estimate was done through an aerial measurement report - very accurate! Some delays in beginning work but mostly due to weather. The work was done in about 4 days. Workers were all very nice and efficient. Copper chimney covers were fabulous - a true work of art! Entire area was thoroughly cleaned when work completed. Cost exactly as estimated. We have had no interior water problems since!

The roofing job went wonderful, I could not be more happier with the job and the professionalism of the workers. When they completed the job I could not find one nail left nor any debris. I would highly recommend this company. The roof looks just great. To further tell you about these workers one even helped my mother carry things out of her car. This company obviously cares about the quality of their work and the professionalism of their employees. Yes, I would highly recommend this company and have to say they are the best.

I left a message on Monday afternoon and received a call back Tuesday morning telling me that they could come by that same day at 10am. David (the President ofthe company) showed up almost exactly at 10 and was very courteous and professional. After showing him the problem we went to the roof area to have a look (it's a flat roof off the MB). David identified the problem in about 10 seconds and suggested a very simple/cost effective fix. David came across as very experienced and honest. I'm very happy to now have a great contact for all things roofing in the event I have a more serious problem!

David Hand is the President.He is professional and honest.He provided a very competitive quote and explained all the details of the installation,including the square footage he used for his quote.Others tried to hide or mislead on this. His crew was great --always timely and hard working.The end result was of high quality and looks great.I would highly recommend them.
