I really wanted to like this company because of the great reviews I read on Angie's List. The problem was that it took them weeks to respond to my request for an estimate. Then, the price was high (I think it was more a issue with the scope of work rather than the company charging too much), so I decided to scale down the project. When I asked them to come out and give another estimate for the smaller project, we made an appointment, but I never heard from them again. That's been about two weeks or so ago now. I chose another contractor for the work. Like I said, I really wanted to like this company. They guy who came out was very friendly, but the response time was just too slow.
Description of Work: Gave estimate for erecting a wall to make two rooms out of one. This included moving duct work, shifting a fireplace, moving some electrical, and installing doors.

They do quite a variety of contracting work. They are reasonable with their pricing and is pretty responsive. If you have an emergency, he will get back to us quickly. We will continue to use their services in the future. We have used them since April 2007.
Description of Work: We have been using them for several projects. The last time, they installed a tub surround, caulking in another bathroom. We had them out for 16 times for different jobs such as drywall repair, installed bi fold closet doors, changed out exhaust vents, installed vinyl fencing.

It went great. We have a 16X20 deck. It gets to hot in the summer. We had MCIII put a roof over the deck. Nathan drew up the plans and made adjustments for the town inspectors. He added the posts to the existing deck. Then he put a strong 20' beam across the front. He used hurricane straps to attach it everywhere. The inspector was really impressed. So were we! Then he did all the finish work. He kept us informed on how we wanted it to look. We let him do the work the way he was going to anyway, but it is nice to be included. We knew it would be done the right way. All the finish work is perfect. He does it right. No hammer dings. Everything straight and bent right. He is modest too! We feel secure about the roof and safe too! It looks great too! Everything stays dry and cooler. We use deck alot more now.
Description of Work: We had a roof put on over our deck.

Every thing went great. He does top quality and DOES NOT cut corners. His flashing work is immaculate. NO hammer dents. And all the work was on schedule. Weather permitting.
Description of Work: We had the entire outside done. New siding, new storm and main doors, and garage door. The house was original cedar shake shingles. The doors were wood and the garage door too. Nathan removed all the shingles and wrapped the house. Everything was replaced perfectly. All debris was cleaned up, I mean all. I dont like messes. Everything was done neatly. Any questions of choices were brought to our attention. And we made the decisions with his advice. The siding was done perfectly Everything straight, No bulges, no cover ups. The neighbors slill compliment us on the way the house looks. The doors are perfectly hung. Every door slill opens and closes perferctly. The garage door too!

It went quickly and efficiently. He cleaned up really well after the job too!
Description of Work: We had ceiling damage from the ice and snow.....Nathan drilled a hole to check for water damage in the wood and insulation, and to see if mold had started. Luckily we had no damage or existing water, so he cut the ceiling out where water stains were, put in new ceiling material and painted. It took about 6-7 hours over about 3 days. He was great! Punctual, professional, and quality work. We will use him for a remodeling job next year, which is really his specialty.

Nathan was recommended by my electrician due to his experience with plaster walls and his attention to detail. And boy was the electrician right! My entryway ceiling was in horrible shape due to a plumbing leak + I wanted to add some additional lighting. After discussing my needs with Nathan and the electrician, we decided that removing the entire ceiling and replacing it was the best, most economical option. Nathan began to remove the ceiling and was surprised to find metal lathe, which added to the time and complexity of the job. But he kept going and finished the demo on time. When he taped and floated the new sheetrock, there was a seam he wasn't happy with so he redid it. Very detail oriented. In addition to the work in the entry, also wanted to add a can light in the kitchen, put electrical and cable behind a wall-mounted flat screen TV and aligned all of the electrical outlets in the kitchen. Nathan and the electrician worked together to determine the best place to make holes to run the necessary wires. Nathan was very meticulous and ensured that patches and tape lines were not noticeable. Now that everything is complete and painted, I can't remember where the holes were in the first place! Nathan is very personable and professional. He showed up when promised, cleaned up and hauled away everything every day he was there, and did a great job finishing the work to my expectations. I highly recommend Nathan and MCIII. I plan to call on them again.
Description of Work: Ripped out the existing entryway ceiling (metal lathe and plaster) and replaced it with a sheetrock ceiling after new electrical was complete. Patched about a dozen large holes in the ceilings and plaster walls where electrical was routed.

Great
Description of Work: Nathan came with the electrician to repair the ceiling after holes were cut in order to add recessed lighting. He was paid by the electrician so I don't really know what it would have cost if I had hired him separately. He came alone a third time for the final taping/sanding of the ceilings. He repaired an area of my ceiling that had nothing to do with my remodeling project.
Nathan could not have done a more expert, thorough, careful job. He is extremely conscientious, neat, and skilled. He had to make four trips to the house to complete all the work and always arrived exactly on time, to the minute. He was so neat and vacuumed so carefully that the floor was actually cleaner after he finished than it was before. He also discovered a problem that we never would have known existed and seemed happy to repair it for us, even though it meant making a special trip to the supply store for extra materials. We could not recommend him more highly.
Description of Work: Nathan cut out an area of ceiling that was cracked around a light fixture and replaced it and painted it. He also discovered a major problem in the attic, the lower section of the side vents were unscreened and birds were easily able to get in, and he repaired this problem as well by screening the areas.
