Terrific! My husband and I can't say enough good things about this company. We were set to buy an older home and found out, through Eastern CT Home Inspection that the septic system was failing and that the well water was contaminated. We got out of this potential sale (and nightmare scenario) due to Eastern CT's great work. We utilized Eastern CT again for the home we ended up purchasing. The reports provided in both instances were very thorough and detailed. Charlie, the inspector for Eastern CT, is very knowledgeable, and will take the time to explain what he is inspecting and answer questions. The price for the service is very reasonable, particularly considering the high quality of service. I highly recommend this company.

You can trust that Charlie will provide a full, detailed, and understandable report. Not only did he carry out the inspection thoroughly, spending more than the usual two and a half hours that are commonly spent by other inspectors, Charlie also gave clear explanations to my questions. Further, when I asked, he explained how to maintain many of the items he inspected. An ASHI certified inspector, Charlie is also certified by the state of CT to carry out Radon tests. Charlie is systematic, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I highly recommend his services. Thanks to his inspection, I was able to arrive at decision that I feel comfortable about with regard to a house I was considering.

I can confidently affirm that Charles Halbert is a reliable and trustworthy inspector. In addition to being an ASHI certified inspector, Charles is also an NEHA certified radon inspector. He is also certified by the state of CT, so you can be assured that the tests are carried out properly.
In carrying out the inspection, Charles was methodical, careful, and detailed. His full report of the inspection consisted of 40 pages, which included a 16-page summary that proved extremely helpful for determining whether to purchase the house. The report contained clear explanations of concern areas, complete with images and recommendations for items needing repair/replacement. During the course of the inspection, Charles provided clear responses and I never felt embarrassed or intimidated about asking follow up questions. Further, he took all the time that was necessary to examine the house, going above and beyond the usual time that most inspectors allot. Lastly, it was a pleasure to work with him. He was polite, professional, and patient.

Charlie is great! We used him twice one for a home we ultimately did not purchase, and again for the home we are closing on in two days. He's very professional, very thorough, and very prompt.

Excellent work. He was on-time, thorough, and knowledgeable. We noticed that the energy bill was high and called him to help us to understand how to minimize energy loss. He quoted the price, which he honored. He checked and inspected everything that was possible with detailed recommendations. Later, he e-mail and mailed us a comprehensive report on every aspect of the house with specific recommendations. He has a home inspector license and liability insurance. He is also a member in good standing of American Society of Home Inspectors.
