I highly recommend Gove Restoration. We had our kitchen remodeled and it turned out even better than we’d hoped! Adam was wonderful to work with -professional, prompt, amazing attention to detail and all-around great guy! Our daughter and son-in-law also had their kitchen remodeled by Gove, and they had amazing results as well. We have heard so many horror stories from friends and families who’ve worked with contractors who did shoddy work or abandoned the project for weeks (even months) at a time. Gove Restoration completed a few very different projects at my mother’s house in Newington. First, they replaced 40 year old back steps and did a full exterior paint job of shingles and shudders on the house and other buildings in the backyard. Inside the house, they updated her 60 year old bathroom including replacing the bathtub with a walk in shower safe for use of an 80 year old. My mother and the rest of the family are so happy with the results which shows the breadth of work that they can do. Matt Gove made the process so easy everyone by carefully outlining the intended scope of work, regularly updating us on progress, and following through on all commitments. All of the members of Matt’s team who worked on the various projects at my mother’s house treated her with kindness and consideration such that she never felt uncomfortable with anyone who came to the house. This was a huge relief for me since I live out of state and knew that she would be home alone during the work. I couldn’t recommend Gove Restoration more for any kind of contracting work!

Everything went great. Good teamwork and communication made all the difference. When the old siding was removed there was more rot found than what was anticipated but all of it was addressed with modern materials and processes leading to repairs that were better than the original.

Gove Restoration recently completed a number of projects for us—painting the exterior of our 1920s-era house, replacing the garage roof, installing new gutters, carpentry to replace rotted trim, rotted shingles, and rotted shutters—and we couldn’t be happier. They were professional from start to finish, straightforward about issues as they arose, and conveyed a genuine appreciation for preserving the look of an older home. The work ethic of everyone, but especially the painters, was truly impressive, as was the attention to detail. We have received many compliments on their work from neighbors and passersby!

We can not say enough positive things about Matt and Adam of Gove Restoration. We hired them to do a kitchen renovation and we couldn't be happier. They are excellent with communication prior to beginning your project and then almost on a daily basis during the project. They are focused only on your project which means there are no delays because they are jumping around. Their team members are amazing craftsman, especially Warren, who works with such expertise and attention to detail. They are respectful of your home when they are in it and they leave things nice and tidy at the end of the work day. But the icing on the cake is your finished project! Our kitchen is so beautiful! They really did an amazing job bringing life to our vision in this space!

Adam from Gove Restoration was an excellent contractor. He was incredibly responsive, and met every single deadline he had set at the beginning of the project with a high quality of work. Any issue that came up during the process he was reasonable about with minimal cost overrun. His level of communication was amazing, and he was always there for us when we needed a response. We are so happy with the entire remodel of our first floor, and thanks to help from Adam's designs it looks like it was always intended to be built and designed the way it is now. We used Gove Restoration to remodel our 1910 Kitchen and downstairs bathroom and couldn't be more pleased with the results of the project and the way Gove performed, from start to finish. Matt Gove handled every detail of the job, and assisted making the plan and executing it. All of the work was performed on schedule, as promised, and with the highest craftsmanship. Village Cabinets were the showstopper and Gove coordinated all the details for the cabinets, installed hardwood flooring, lighting, and a redesign of our former pantry into a new and beautiful space. The workspace was kept clean and organized during the whole period. Gove moved the existing appliances and kept them ready to reinstall. Matt was a hands-on GC, checking on work, keep us up to date on the schedule and any changes, and really proved that he cared about this big investment for us. Gove proved their expertise in older homes and their unique situations, and handled any unexpected condition perfectly. Every single one of the contractors that came into our home was respectful, professional and did great work. We'd highly recommend Gove Restoration and would use them again!

We knew our kitchen remodel would be a challenging project and that we would not be able to buy anything "off the shelf." Gove Restoration and team were able to design and customize not only a functional kitchen with an updated layout, but also one that fits the style of the home. We've hired Gove Restoration for several smaller projects over the past few years <$10,000. This was our first major renovation with them, where we had 2 bathrooms completely remodeled from the studs. Through the process Matt and his team were extremely easy to work with, discussing design ideas, budget, and style. Gove Restoration helped us to work out weighs to adjust the overall cost by letting us demo the bathrooms and paint as well. The overall quote was very transparent and each cost/line item was very clear and what we could expect. We worked with their supply partners as well for granite, cabinets, tile, and doors/windows. All these suppliers were great to work with. During the process we hit a few snags such as product availability, and COVID issues. Matt and team were very flexible and worked hard to find replacement products of the same quality in order to not delay the project. When the project was all over we walked away with 2 newly renovated bathrooms that we love, and the feeling of money well spent. We no longer have to worry about plumbing issues, flooring or any old home problems. We highly recommend Gove Restoration for any and all projects.
