CertaPro of Fairfield was very helpful in walking me through the different types of paints and finishes. Without a lot of lead time, they accommodated my schedule in order to get the bedroom painted in time for my daughter's birthday. They were very neat/clean painters and did a fabulous job painting. (I am quite picky given I paint myself.) The owner even called me afterwards to ensure I was satisfied. It was a great positive experience!

I wish I didn't have to write this review, but the entire experience was unprofessional and overpriced. The owner, Ed, is responsive to the customer, but he doesn't seem to know how to estimate a painting job and communicates poorly with the customer and seemingly his staff (there were many lapses in communication). Ed did not show up at the site to discuss with his painters what they should be doing, which is a huge mistake. The work performed was just ok---more care should have been taken to cover surfaces.
I almost had Ed and his company paint a bedroom, however their guys never showed up one morning and the office never called---a fortunate "miss" for me.
I have since used another painter whose work is exemplary and the prices are about 50% less that what Ed wanted to charge. It was only due to a rec from the closet company that I even contacted Certapro. I later discovered that they recommended Certapro Norwalk and because I live in Westport, they had to pass the request to the local franchisee.
I highly recommend to NOT USE this provider.

I was very satisfied. They did a professional job of power washing and used a bleaching solution to use remove mildew. They used a very high grade paint from Benjamin Moore. The clean-up was excellent.

It didn't go well. They did sloppy work. They had to come back several times to correct the work. My wife was very frustrated. I would not use them again.

"Thanks for your comments but we are confused. I personally produced the job and the first step was to paint Michael s Study as a proof of concept and according to Lynn, we passed the test and was given permission to do the rest of the job. We applied several paint samples for Lynn to chose from which can be tedious and takes time for drying, etc. but we left with a great personal review with Lynn and never dealt directly with Michael. I left him a message to please call as we do not want an unsatisfied customer."

It was great. They kept checking with me to make sure everything was ok. They were neat. They went back and did touch ups where I felt it was needed. We went over colors before they started the job.

The onsite supervisor was not a good communicator and would not call when they would not show up.
The owner of the company is great and wants the job to be right. There are a few areas of the home that did not come out right. The boss did return and try to correct the areas that did not cover well. I still have some areas that need attending and hope to have them fixed in the spring.
At this time I am happy with the franchise owner and how he conduct this business. In the spring depending on how the job is completed I will reconsider my review and hope to use this company in the future.

"We painted 2 houses for this customer. The first house is which he lives in, 2 window frames had knots which bled through the white paint. In between that job, he asked us to repaint a house in Westport which was not prepped correctly and most of the window molding and wood rails were peeling. We prepped the house and applied the corect paint and had a great review. We came back to his house and applied material to hide the knots which still bled through and then the temperature dropped too low to paint. We will address the issue in the Spring and if we cannot stop the bleeding, then we will replace the wood at no charge."

They were punctual with my expectations of arrival times everyday. They were very professional in the way that they operated from the time I requested the estimate to the completion of the job, keeping me updated every day of the progress of their services. They made sure that they left my property better then when they came. Will definitely be using CertaPro again!

They did a good job; it was a challenging job that required scaffolding and they managed the work well. They underbid on our project, it was an excellent price. There was a little confusion because the supervisor wasn’t here when the work started and we weren’t able to get the color decided on until he arrived and the trim color needed to be decided on first. He had sent his team early and once he arrived we got it figured out. I liked the end result. The trim was a custom color and they were willing to work with me on the color. The communication with them was good as well the scheduling. I wouldn’t use anyone else.

Inspections/quote was spot on. They came in on time and painted exactly what I asked for with the exact color I asked for. They were clean, neat, and professional. Simple to work with. No issues at all.

Project went well. The team cleaned up after themselves and provided good quality work at a fair price. When I returned home after the were there, I couldn't tell that they had been there (i mean besides the fact that the ceiling was painted). I think that's about the best compliment you can provide for someone working inside your home. Thanks Greg!
