I cannot say enough good things about the owner of Amadeus Piano/Stamford, Yury Feygin, and his associates. The piano he provided was excellent and the tuning of the instrument under some very trying circumstances was just outstanding. More, however, is Yury's flexibility and professionalism and even kindness. To make a long and awful story short, at the last minute, the person in charge of the venue refused to allow the piano to stay in place after the dress rehearsal, despite agreements in emails. Yury simply said that he'd do whatever I wanted. We discussed our options. The upshot was that he took the piano back with him, returned the day of the performance, set it up, tuned it beautifully in a very tight time frame and enabled an absolutely wonderful concert to proceed. I am forever indebted to Yury and his assistants, their commitment, and the quality of their work. If you need to rent a piano, Amadeus Piano in Stamford is your one and only place to consider!

Yury was on time, professional, and moved the piano safely. He also offered advice to keep the piano in good shape.

These guys are fantastic. Beautifully communicated and co-ordinated, very quickly done. Guys are extremely pleasant and upbeat to work with. Would use them again in a heartbeat. Wish they did lots of other household work!

Outstanding service. The move was originally planned the day a major storm was supposed to hit. Yury made an accommodation to get it done before the storm. You can tell he loves pianos and treats them and his customers with respect.

My first exposure to Yury Feygin and Amadeus was about six years ago when he came to tune my Baldwin upright.  Since then, he repaired/regulated the piano, moved it, sold it, moved in and repaired an antique Steinway studio upright, and has collaborated with me to present a series at his new Stamford warehouse and venue.

I cannot say enough about his professionalism and dedication -- to music and to pianos.  He hires only the best employees, and has no tolerance for inattention to detail.  I recommend him unreservedly.

I've owned an antique baby grand piano (built in 1907) since I was a child and have moved it to 3 states and 7 houses. Over the years, various movers have damaged it and the many tuners had no real idea how to handle it.  I found Yuri at Amadeus Piano when our local newspaper did a story on him saying they specialized in antique pianos. Yuri came out the day after I called and was able to diagnose the problems, propose a solution that involved removing the keyboard to restore it, and 3 weeks later, he and his two assistants spent 3 hours at my house making the inside (and outside) of my piano look brand new. The sound is now better than it's been for many years. Amadeus has also ordered a new set of bass strings since mine were stretched too far and snapped easily ($600.00).  The price quoted to restore the keyboard was just over $1700.00 but at the last minute, Yuri noticed that my pedals were looking really ragged. He removed them and brought them back looking brand new. - no extra charge.  As I wrote before, when the keyboard was brought back and the piano was being tuned, the bass strings were terribly strained and two snapped. I haven't paid him yet because he won't take my money until the strings are restored, the piano is tuned it again (no charge) and I'm "satisfied".  Finding Amadeus was the happiest day of my old piano's life.
Yuri, the owner, is kind, considerate, personable, knowledgeable, efficient and honest. His assistants are diligent, sincere, hard-working, and so proud of the way the piano looks when they're done. They suggested I take photos before and after because, they assured me, I wasn't going to believe the transformation! They were right! 
And yes, $2600.00 is a lot of money but the piano has been tuned many times over the past 100 years (recently at about $100+ each time). It's old and tired and has never had major work. The tunings were a stop-gap measure. I feel that for the first time, it's being treated to a full makeover and it's so much more fun to play, more enjoyable to listen to  - and wonderful to look at for the first time in years!
So DO call Yuri and DON'T wait one more day!

The technician was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Prompt and efficient. I only gave them a 'good' on price because it was expensive, but it was excellent quality and good value for money.  Our upright is a new piano, and we are thrilled with it. Highly recommended.

It was a very difficult move down some steep and narrow stairs. The guys moving the piano did a great job and were very professional.

Yuri is the consummate piano pro. He does the tuning with great care and couldn't be more pleasant to work with. It's easy to schedule the appointments and Yuri always arrives on the dot. The piano looks and sounds beautiful.

We have been customers of Amadeus Piano for 6 years now. When we decided to start our five-year-old daughter on piano lessons, we called on Amadeus Pianos to help select a piano to rent to see where the lessons would be going and if she would enjoy studying music. Amadeus Piano has a unique piano rental program where they restore and refinish vintage pianos and rent them starting $1 per day. We rented a German Rosler upright for $49 per month. Delivery was arranged quickly and I was very impressed with their climate-controlled piano moving truck. Tuning was always done quickly and on time. Our piano teacher was very impressed with the tuning quality and is actually using their services also. Now we live in a new town and returned the rental piano with no hassle and received our deposit back.

We mentioned that we wanted help selecting the right grand piano for our new house and were set on the black Yamaha. The owner, Yury, was very helpful and took his time to tell us all about what’s important to look out for and what’s the best year/type we should look for. While they do have a very nice showroom at that time they did not have the exact one we wanted. Rather than pushing us into one of their in stock instruments he went us with to see several privately-listed pianos and we ended up buying exactly what we wanted for a great deal (he also helped negotiate the price as he knew exactly what that instrument was worth and what maintenance it needed). Again, moving was effortless for them and they were extremely careful with our newly refinished hardwood floors. It actually rained really hard that day and they delivered the piano wrapped up in a special piano “jacket”, which we had never seen before.


We highly recommend Amadeus Pianos. Even though we are not professionals, our piano teacher is extremely pleased with the work they have done for us and for her. Customer service has always been exceptional. Yury especially is extremely knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to make sure his customers get exactly what they are looking for.
