The job took a little more than three weeks, far longer than the week estimated to complete it. In part the cause was the town's delay in issuing permits and sending out an inspector; in part the delay reflected Tony's dilatoriness. He doesn't always call when he can't come as planned, and he doesn't necessarily deliver paperwork (such as a contract) when he says he will. Some parts of the job had to be repaired or redone (drains not completely backfilled; sidewalk not in compliance with town specs). He did the extra work cheerfully.
