They sealed off every door to the kitchen and then they built some temporary contraption over the door that goes from the kitchen outdoors so that they could control the air in the kitchen and knock out if there was asbestos that got kicked up into the air so that it wouldn't go throughout the house. They came in, I suppose, in their hazmat suits because the rest of the house was totally blocked off. They took out three layers of flooring because the asbestos was between two of the layers. They ended up having to take out three layers of linoleum and I think the subfloor and then clean everything up and get the air tested and make sure that there was no asbestos in the air remaining before they were free to leave. They ended up having to come back because the cabinets had not been removed. The cabinets had to be removed to get the flooring under them because it had asbestos and it was moist. It also had the moisture in it. We were trying to get rid of the moist floor so that we don't end up with a moldy mess. They were absolutely wonderful! They came right away. I didn't have to do the scheduling because Service Master acts as a contractor and they scheduled them. I didn't have to go out and compare the pricing to see what other people would charge.
