Very well. Robert's crew worked hard and completely sanded the deck before staining it.

The quality of the workmanship of the contractor's staff was very good. The guys were pleasant, punctual and good painter's. On the last day of the job, the radiators were to be painted. The covers were removed and were to be spray painted in our basement. There was a cloth drop cloth placed on the cellar floor and saw horses on top. The spraying was done; the covers replaced and the room finished. When I got home from work, I saw that the room was beautiful, but the basement,not so much. It appeared to me that the drop cloth used was not large enough to catch all the overspray created by the spraying process. When the cloth was removed, you could clearly see an outline of where the cloth was and there is about 3' of overspray on our concrete floor all around the cloth. I sent Rob a note saying how nice the sunroom looked, but we had a problem with in the basement. I said we'd discuss it the next day. When he arrived the next day to settle up, he came into the house with no equipment at all. After we looked at what a nice job had been done on the sun room, we looked downstairs at the overspray condition. The only way I can describe Rob's reaction and disposition with regard to this problem was total ambivalence. He scuffed his sneaker on the overspray and said "what do you want me to do about it?". I said I wanted it cleaned. He said that he couldn't clean it, but his attitude said that he wouldn't. He didn't even try! He said to me in what I took as a very insincere tone that he was "sorry". I said to him that I wished that he had been more careful. When I stated to him that we had given him a clean floor to start with, he made a sarcastic comment that the floor was less then clean. The moral of this story is that Rob's workmen were very good. I can't stay the same for him. I sensed a slight bit of attitude during our initial dealings, but we hired him based on the 3 excellent references he gave. We will never hire him again and if asked, will repeat this story to whomever asks.

It went excellent

Did a great job of protecting all the new fixtures in our bathroom. When we decided that we didn't like the staining to our new woodwork (not their fault), they agreed to paint over it without complaint. Robert answered all our questions and e-mail in a timely manner and even made extra visits to look at the work with us. They left the place in great shape and the painting detail is great.
