We found that other factory certified companies wanted half that amount for the same repair so we went with another company for the actual repair.
Service was given in a knowledgeable, professional manner. All my concerns were addressed fairly and reasonably.
I truly feel that another plumber might have wanted to do a complete makeover of the configuration. Mike from Marec fairly assessed the situation and was honest enough to utilize my old parts. He further gave me options for further replacement and remedies.
As always, FIVE STARS for Marec Plumbing and Heating.
Set up an appointment that was convenient for me. The job was well done and you can tell the tech was meticulous. This was not a drive by cleaning like some oil companies perform. This was what I expected from Marec. A thorough job from beginning to end.
Marec Heating and Air Conditioning leave the homeowner feeling assured and confident with their high level of competence.
Highly recommend....
"We began doing service with the member in June, 2006. We went on a lack of air conditioning call where we found the compressor to be defective and possible leak in the evaporator coil. We installed a new central air conditioning system in September 2006 to repitch is drain line and he blew off the appointment. His air conditioning unit went all year without any problems until he called us in June 2007 with a no air conditioning service call. We found his thermostat to be defective and the air filter to be plugged. We installed the new thermostat and established air conditioning. He was to replace the air filter. They had no more issues that summer. We have had issues with this customer since the beginning. His partner has called our office on a number of occasions and verbally abused whoever answered the phone which is why we will no longer service them. When we order Carrier air conditioning equipment, they do not come with and air conditioning cover. However his partner seemed to expect our company to pay for a cover and just give it to him at no charge which led to him calling our company and yelling and swearing at the woman who answers the pone calling the owner an *expletive*. This phone call offended the owner, Mr. Cook, who in turn told the member that "it would be in his best interest to find another heating and air conditioning company that can better suit their needs." Another instance was in July of 2008, when the member's partner called and spoke to Mrs. Cook. She politely answered the phone and he began screaming and swearing that "the employees were incompetent and he was going to put us on a consumer List so everyone would know what a lousy company we are" and hung up. Then about 2 minutes later he called again and Mrs. Cook threatened to call the police to report the harassment and he in turn said "go ahead I'm an attorney" and hung up again. No other calls were placed. Mr. Cook had a discussion with the member and it stated that if the items listed were not installed correctly that he would take care of the issues only if the member was on site. Mr. Cook did refuse to reimburse his request for a full reimbursement. Marec Heating and Air Conditioning stood by its warranty of (1) full year from installation date. After the warranty had expired on the installation and due to the working conditions at the residence, Marec Heating and Air Conditioning felt it was best to sever the relationship."
