of theirre more that glad to have me This was the third time I've had dealings with a home inspection service within one year.  Needless to say I would never deal with the previous people.  These guys were on time, professional, polite and were more than glad to have me accompany them and and answer all of my questions.  They also pointed out all of the "issues" and  "non issues" with the home.  Even the real estate agent said that she was surprised by the thoroughness of their report.  I purposively left the price out because there service was priceless.  They save us tens of thousands of dollars in repairs.

Fantastic job! Four people arrived and they were very informative. Very quick with the inspection report. I would definitely recommend them if you are looking for a thorough complete home inspection. They pointed out several things that we missed (old oil lines running through the foundation that could indicate a buried oil tank that was not disclosed, wall paper painted over could mean a big expense if it damages the walls when removed). We have a pretty good eye for these things and we still missed it. They found that 12 plugs were wired backwards and could potentially cause big problems. The central vac was pieced together with what looked like a pool hose (inexpensive fix but we wouldn't have noticed right away). There was still snow on the ground and they came prepared with snow shoes to get a complete inspection of the outside of the house.

Immediate response from website inquiry with available times. Estimate provided immediately. Confirmation given. Inspection was thorough; two inspectors for two hours total. The time flew by, learned a lot about what sort of things to look for in a home when buying almost like being an insider. Items requiring attention all explained, remedy recommendation provided. Everything done physically and told verbally was documented plainly afterward. No surprises at all from the inspection to the report. If it weren't my potential future home being inspected I would have had more fun.

Jerry showed up on time. He was friendly and polite. During the inspection he was very thorough in all areas of the home. He invited me to walk around with him and shared his comments with me as he inspected my new home. He also gave advise about items he would not address in his report. He took pictures of the areas he felt needed improving. He brought a ladder with him to use inside and outside the home. After he was completed he answered all the questions I had. His report was thorough and was ready by 10 am the next day. It also included the pictures he took. I would definitely use The Home Team again and would recommend them to my friends.

Inspectors pointed out thinks that needed to be fixed, age of major appliances and improvements that could be made. I was able to go back to the seller and have some work done and get a credit of over $5000 at the closing. I got an easy to follow report that I will use to prioritize future work. Well worth the money spent.

I am in the process of buying a house in the area south of Hartford. My Realtor regularly uses Jerry's business, The HomeTeam, for home inspections for her clients, and I am super-glad about this! I wasn't able to be physically present for the inspection of the first house on which I had placed a contracted deposit. Jerry came in and did the inspection with my Realtor present, and I received his extremely-detailed report within 24 hours. Based on his observations and recommendations, and accompanying photographs, I made the decision not to follow through on the purchase of that house. After much looking, a couple of months later, I found another house, made a deposit, and Jerry and his assistant Bill came out to do the inspection. Getting to see them in action showed me where the level of detail in the report comes from: they were outstanding. They thoroughly documented every aspect of the home, from the exterior buildings (Garage, etc.), to the drainage in the yard, to the foundation, the house exterior (roof, siding, chimney, windows), the interior (detailed above), and included me in their discussions about what they found. Jerry and Bill's expertise and exemplary knowledge of home construction and design, historical aspects of construction methods, carpentry, plumbing, electrics, combined with an easygoing professional demeanor only increased my trust in and respect for them. While sometimes what they found was "bad news," I felt confident, based on their explanations, that I understood the nature of each problem, and what steps would be required (both short-term and long-term) to fix each one. Before I moved to Connecticut, my last home inspection was about half the price. So the $485 price tag was a little more than I was expecting-- but having received Jerry's reports, and having observed The HomeTeam in action, I absolutely feel that their work is worth the charge-- and that's having done it twice in two months. Their attention to detail on that first inspection probably saved me tens of thousands of dollars in short- and long-term home repairs, and immeasurable stress and heartache, on a house that was gorgeous inside and out-- but would have been a money pit. I recommend Jerry and The HomeTeam without reservation or hesitation.

Super thorough job, answered tons of questions during the inspection and provided the report in a neatly bound binder that made for easy review. Very professional all the way around from the setting of the appointment to the actual inspection made the process very smooth. Highly recommended.
