Very well. Tony B. From the Torrington store was very helpful and addressed all our questions and concerns. Installers were on time, friendly and cleaned up after the work was approved. I would hire Dalenes again.

The prices were reasonable, the staff were friendly and professional and I would recommend them to a friend. The things we ordered came in when they were supposed to.

We had used Dalene in the past and had a great experience. This time, the customer service and work was below par.  We had our initial consultation 2 months before they started work because Dalene had lost our paperwork and no one ever contacted us.  When work finally began, the installer who repaired the damaged floor boards was great.  Everything else was a disaster.  They told us that it would take 3-4 days and it took 6.  The scheduling was a mess, and that is why it took so long.  The first worker sent to refinish the floors only had an hour left in his work day, so he barely got any work done and had to come back.  When it was all done and we were told they weren't coming back, we discovered that they had sanded 2 floorboards but had not refinished them!  Someone had to come out another day to refinish those boards - which now do not match the boards in the rest of the house.

Customer service was awful.  Whenever we called the store, the manager in charge could not answer our questions and always referred us to someone else.  She didn't have enough basic knowledge to even answer our simple questions.  The scheduler only called once, so we never knew what time the workers would show up at the house.  When we called to complain about the unfinished product (the 2 floorboards mentioned above), we were told that no one would be able to come out for a while and we would have to wait.  It was even questioned whether there was a problem- she seemed to think I was just too picky.  She told me she would leave a message for the boss, but no one ever called me back.  I didn't get anywhere until I sent a scathing email to the owner of the company.  To sum it up, we won't hire Dalene again and do not recommend them to friends and family.
