Really well. Looks great and drainage is much improved. One small area next to our back steps could have been finished off in a straighter line but we can live with it. Good communication and they did exactly what they said they would. We made a good choice.

"we completed the job in the time frame that had been discussed. I hope they are happy with the outcome in spite of a very difficult job to pave."

A professional, quality job at a reasonable price. Brewer has integrity. They showed up when they said, and did exactly what they said they would do. They set clear expectations, indicated what the job would entail, and gave understandable rationale for their methods. This driveway has curvature, slope, and particular shape. Brewer did a perfect grading and paving job with water running off the driveway where it should, and no puddles.

They did it a couple of years ago and it still looks brand new. They do a lot of driveways in this area. The guy really knew his stuff. The driveway butts up against the house. He payed attention to the slope going away from the house. He paid attention to detail. The price was fine. We did not shop around.

I solicited three quotes from local paving contractors. They each responded quickly and the pricing was very close among all three. Brewer Paving had done driveways for two neighbors several years ago and they were quite satisfied and their driveways still looked good so I went with him. He did the demolition work at the end of April. While doing so he damaged my neighbor's lawn by backing a large truck up on it. I withheld two hundred dollars from the first payment to insure that they would repair the lawn. They did so but it took two phone calls and a week before they did. Two weeks after the demo part of the job Matt Brewer called and said he would lay the pavement in a week. We were planning to be away that day. He said he could do it while I was away and he would need access to the garage, my cars parked down the street, and someone to give him the final payment. I said I didn't feel comfortable with that... couldn't he pick another day since I would be home the rest of the month. He seemed "miffed" and said he would call back. He didn't call back until we had left messages three times over the next two weeks. I started to worry that he would not complete the contract. He eventually called back and said that nothing had happened due to the rainy weather (he had never previously said that they didn't work in wet weather). He subsequently gave us a call on Friday before Memorial Day to say he would pave on Tuesday of the following week. Fortunately, that schedule did work out for us and the job got done to our satisfaction. Matt was "hands on" during the paving which means he is not just a salesman, but his lack of responsiveness caused me to worry about the job which is why I cannot give the company a better grade.

We had heard great things about them, and were happy with their work. They did a good job, but we did have a disagreement about the billing. On the day of the work we added an additional small portion, which they verbally estimated would be around $60 extra. However, when I spoke with them next, they said it would actually be $300. I believe he actually may have meant 60 feet instead of $60, but then he became upset. He argued with me about what was said, and was very adamant that he was right. I split the difference on what they said it should be, but it was a shame that they argued with us because the work they did was very good. Their pricing overall was in line with the other quotes we received, and was actually $40 less than another company before we added the extra portion. It was unfortunate that we had the dispute because I had heard so many good things about them.

THEIR PRICE WAS MORE THAN COMPETITIVE. I WAS REALLY HAPPY WITH THE WORK THAT THEY DID, FOR SUCH A WONDERFUL PRICE. THEIR RESPONSIVENESS WAS FINE. THEY COMPLETED THE JOB SATISFACTORY.
