They explained what they were doing, the condition under the concrete, the condition of the walls.
They cleaned up perfectly.
Basement looks great.
Very experienced crew.
"There is nowhere in my contact that says drywell system. It was never discussed. Contract states: anyone making alterations of any kind to my work nullifies contract/guarantee. See attached contract. A-1 discharged pipe outside, which is normal practice. If another company installed additional pipe tapping into her old drywell, we can’t be held responsible and the non-contracted work nullifies A-1’s contract/guarantee. An appointment was made with the member to access the problem and honor A-1’s guarantee. After my evaluation, I told her that this additional work (not done by my company) nullifies my contract. Also, contract does not cover for damages caused by “Acts of Nature” ie: floods caused by extreme weather. She became enraged and then threatened me with violence. ANY backup system is guaranteed to work only for a certain amount of time when power goes out, which she was informed of. The system did its job. The only alternative after that period of time is a gasoline powered generator place outside, which the sump pump would be plugged into. The complaint states she was not home to monitor the situation. These were extreme flooding circumstances which should have been monitored closely. For this reason A-1 Waterproofing only guarantees installation of backup systems. Refer to the contract attached. As for the back-up system being inferior, this is a quality product made by a quality company used by many contractors. My men left the box with system’s instructions and guarantee in her basement next to the pump. I stand by my work, my choice of products and my men. Rocco Balesano Owner"
