Let me start by saying this is the first negative review I've ever had to write, as I am typically the person who writes to give a rave review or recommend a company. If I have had bad service in the past, I just chalk it up to a bad experience. After my recent experience with Overhead Door of Waterbury I feel it necessary to write this in order to protect others from falling into the same trap as I have. My experience with Overhead Door of Waterbury has left me disappointed by the lack of professionalism and integrity. Overhead door came out to check a product that was no longer functioning that they had recently serviced. When the service man came he said that it was not related to the previous problem but that he would fix it free of charge because they had just been out so recently, as a one time courtesy. After fixing the problem that occurred he said there might be additional work needed and that the company would call me the following Monday. When they called me they listed the additional work needed and the cost, however they were not sure that the additional work was the correct fix or resolve the problem, on top of that they would not guarantee the work. I decided to wait, speak to my husband and explore other possible options before committing to the work being done. In the following days I received a bill in the mail for the repair that I was told was free of charge. Since the company had said the service would be free of charge I assumed it was a billing mistake. When I called the company to fix the error they stated that because I "refused" the additional work, unrelated to the work they completed and stated was at no charge, they were not going to honor their word that the original repair was free of charge. I tried to clarify that he said the quote of "free" was based on prior work not work to be done in future. My frustration increased when I could not speak with anyone but the receptionist. While I understand people are busy, each time I called the receptionist put me on hold for several long periods of time while she spoke to someone in the office and parroted the information back to me. When I asked to speak to a manager or a service provider I was not granted that and was only able to leave several messages that were never returned. My family and I have worked with other Overhead Door providers before, always with very positive experiences. I'm disappointed to see that Overhead Door of Waterbury is poor representation of the brand, who showed that not only are they a dishonest company buy closed to communicating with their customers.

I had a very good experience with both of them. I had one issue after the install, there was a little bit of rubbing in one door. I noticed that after one week, and they came out immediately and serviced it. They were the least expensive.

Showed up on time. Was very professional. Did good quality work. Cleaned up before leaving. Removed all debris. Good quality doors and good quality work.

The company was very responsive. They came to the house and provided samples since we wanted almond to match the siding. The salesman waited until we were ready to move forward. He ordered the door and installed. The installation was very professional. I would recommend this company.

THEY WERE VERY UNRELIABLE. THEY LEFT A MESS OF TOOLS DAILY. THEY CAME BACK DUE TO INEFFICIENCY. THE CLEAN UP WAS NOT EXECUTED WITH MUCH PROFICIENCY, AND SOMETHING WENT MISSING.
