My 80 year old mother inherited some money 2 years in a row from a deceased relative. She always had very little money and secured Lori (Bonaldi) to prepare the taxes for those 2 years. Later the following year she started receiving IRS correspondence requesting a significant amount more money.  The letters were given to Lori and she said she would ?take care of it?. The reason for the IRS change was never clear either and no explanation was ever given by Lori. Subsequent IRS letters followed about monthly with no response from Lori even after repeated requests for updates.  Each time we were able to get through she would say that it takes time for the IRS to process what she sent.  Many months passed (maybe 6) and the IRS started sending collection letters. Calls to Lori continued to result in the same type of (non) response that it takes time to process. She was requested to send the correspondence she was having with the IRS, indicated she would, but after waiting and many calls and several emails, there with never a response. My 80 year old mother in law eventually had to pay almost $33,000 in additional money to the IRS (federal and state) due to an error by Lori. A Tax Advocate was eventually consulted who contacted the IRS who indicated they had no record of contact by anyone... Recommendation: stay away from Lori...
