K. Perkins Contracting

K Perkins Contracting has been great to work with. They just re roofed out home that had an only 7 year old roof on it as the previous contractor was a hack and we have had leaks that they didn't fix. Kristin has been great to work with, great communication and when it was evident what a hack job the previous roofers had done, sent me videos and was easily able to pivot and do more than had been anticipated. Came to me highly recommended and I will highly recommend to anyone!

Kristin, of K. Perkins Contracting, framed the area of pipes making one a bench seat and the other a foot/shaving ledge. She then tiled the area creating a nice looking, functional shower stall complete with grab bars. This project took several days due to the steps involved in a tile job but Kristin and staff completed it in a timely manner with very little disruption to the household. They left the work area very clean everyday and even scrubbed the tile saw dust off the sidewalk. When we read the positive reviews on Angie's List and did some research on K.Perkins Contracting, we felt we had the right person for the job, and now we know it.

Job delayed a little secondary to rains and extreme heat but Kristen was good about staying in touch and keeping me posted. Great quality work and very professional. Highly recommend!

She was responsive to our request. The quality of the work stood out to me. She was nice to deal with. The job turned out well and everything was okay. During the hurricane we had in October, she drove by our house to ask if everything was okay.

We have been considering a few changes to a bathroom, and with some company coming in a week, we decided to proceed. (We don't do our best work on deadline, we do our only work on deadline!) Kristin is always punctual, and was at the house at 8 am on the agreed upon start date. She and her crew completed the demolition, removing the old materials, installed the new wainscoting, installed new pvc molding, repainted the wood molding, doors and trim, and reinstalling the plumbing and vanity. She even re-caulked the tub, which was not an area worked on! All work was completed in 2.5 days. The area was cleaned up at the end of each day. It looked super when the company came.

This is the second job that KP has completed for us, and we will use her services again in the future.

We needed a new roof to replace our 18 year-old one. There had started to be signs of moisture on upstairs ceilings and, while it still looked OK, we wanted to avoid another winter that would produce major damage. KP had just finished a roof for a good friend, and the quality of materials, service, and price were what we were looking for. KP was prompt for the appointment to estimate the cost. She gave us other references, and returned the next evening with an estimate and samples. She was friendly and extremely professional. Upon agreeing on the job, she gave us a time and showed up exactly when she said she would. When her crew began removing the old shingles, they found, as we had suspected, that the sheathing was in bad shape. She gave us options, and we decided that resurfacing the roof before shingling it made the most sense. KP began the work immediately, having given us an estimate for the additional work. KP did all the resheathing herself, with one crew member running the sheets to her. Once the sheathing was completed, KP and her crew worked quickly and steadily. It was clear that they had a system as the work just flowed. Even the cleanup was done systematically while the rest of the crew worked on the roof. You could barely tell that they had worked all day, as the site was kept extremely clean and tidy. They finished in 2 1/2 days, including doing new flashing on the chimney, a job that the last roofer botched badly. The roof looks great! The property was completely cleaned, and KP checked back to be sure everything was alright. As she is a full-service contractor, we will definitely be using her in the future.
