good work on both counts. Total knee replacement done in April... PT ongoing, but with good results so far. Drs. Maletz and Salkin both did good work and were super supportive. Ditto for Allyson, the PA. Now at seven weeks post knee replacement and am at 90% of recovery goals.... A great practice with whom I have had over 15 years experience.

Doctor was very nice and knowledgeable. The doctor specialized in lower back and spinal injuries and knew what he was talking about. He didn't prescribe me medication because he didn't think it would benefit my situation, which I liked.

They are very attentive to my problems. They referred me to a physical therapist. They were in good touch with that physical therapist while the therapy was going on.

I took a book because all my experience has told me I'd be there a couple hours. I was in the office within 10 mins of my scheduled time. This was the way it worked through three surgeries at this facility, for a total of about 9 office visits. The physicians assistant was prompt and thorough. The doctor arrived quickly after. Dr. Burrows was amazing. He has a calm gentle nature and a reassuring smile. At first I was given an injection. This was the protocol they had to follow because of insurance requirements. The injection worked for several months then the symptoms returned. Dr. Burrows told me he did not believe in just giving a bunch of shots, so he'd operate to fix it.
I am a classical piano teacher, so it was mortifying having to deal with problems related to my hands. He made me feel secure and that all would be fine. The day of the surgery I arrived at Pequot Medical. They were prompt and gracious in dealing with me. I was kept warm and comfortable while I waited. The procedure went just fine. Dr. Burrows gave me adequate pain medication for after. This was a huge deal to me because I have a low pain tolerance and a high resistance to pain meds. I needed the pain meds the first couple days and after that it was fine. I had meds left over. No PT after the surgery. The only thing I would change is getting a little sedative while I was waiting. I was a wreck nerve wise. An amazing job was done by Dr. Burrows and the staff at Pequot. Many Thanks,Barbara AndersonPawcatuck, CT

Was referred to by my PCP. Dr. Mark Blechner clearly articulated that I had spinal stenosis and a ruptured disk in the L4-L5 vertebras. Was promptly scheduled for a surgery at LMH after several visits and on-site conversations with the doctor. This was my first experience with any sort of surgery and I was a bit nervous. Dr. Blechner was courteous, articulate and highly concerned about my post-surgery progress, which has been difficult but I am not experiencing NEARLY as much pain and discomfort. Dr Blechner has a refined sense of humor, which made for unusually enjoyable visits. Office staff is very friendly and prompt. Still seeing Dr Mark Blechner for pain management.
