M & M PAINTING & HOME IMPROVEMENT LLC

The owner of M&M provided the lowest estimate for the repairs that we needed and was willing to do the work for the amount estimated by our insurance adjuster.  Given the amount of work to be done, we had expected at least a three-man crew, but most of the work was done by just one employee who spoke very little English.  The employee was polite and worked hard, but he did not have a good number of the tools that he needed such as a ladder or a hammer and, so, he had to borrow several of our tools for the job.
Since there was only one person working on the job, for over a week we were shut out of a significant portion of our house due to the dust in the working area, which, thankfully, was taped and closed off with plastic sheeting pretty well, at least at first.
We had a few communication issues with the owner during the course of the job; for example, we had thought that the entire ceiling would be re-textured so that it would match perfectly.  Instead, after they cut out the damaged area and put new sheetrock up, they did their best to match the old texture, and they painted the entire ceiling to make the color match.
After the work was completed, we had to call M&M several times to have them remove the trash that was left over.  The cleanup inside was also not the best, as we had to vacuum and clean up the dust that came from the ceiling popcorn.  There are still a few areas of windows and lights that got popcorn spray on them that we will have to try to clean off.
Overall, the owner and the employees were polite, but it took much longer to complete the job than it should have and the quality of the work was not as good as we had hoped for.

I liked their price.

I called M&M to have my ceiling in a kitchen and bedroom in one of my apartments in my multi family patched and repainted after it suffered water damage several months earlier. The ceiling is plaster and several coats of paint had bubbled up. I had prior estimated to have the work done. While speaking with the business owner, I asked him if he did concrete work as he told me he did. I recently had removed a section of my sidewalk on the same building to run some electircal underground. M&M gave me an estiate of $600 to patch and repaint both rooms (approx 500 sq ft) and repour a small section of concrete for my sidewalk (3"x3"). My lowest estimate JUST FOR PAINT WORK prior to this was for $1,000!! The work took two days for a single worker and was started the day after I was give the estimate.

They are excellent. They were on time and professional every step of the way. I was very impressed with the quality of their work and they were trustworthy as well. They were able to answer all of my questions and they stayed very close to the estimate, which made me happy. I would recommend them to other people.
