After a few months the bathrooms started leaking , causing damage to floors, walls, and ceilings. Dashi, the owner of Fantastic Tile & Construction, which installed the tile work, came back to the house with our general contractor to determine the cause of the problem. He had someone to do some caulking and said he thought water was spilling onto the floor during showers. That turned out not to be the case. Significant quantities of water continued to leak from the two bathrooms and damage the house. My contractor called Dashi and couldn't get him to come back again. I called Dashi and he said he take care of it. I made made two appointments with Dashi, and he broke them both without letting me know that he was not going to come. After the second time, I insisted that he come back. He told me it was not his problem and he hung up on me. I spoke to him one more time; he insisted that the problem was not his responsibility. Finally, I had no choice but hire another tile installer, who determined that the tile had not been installed properly. All the tile work and the cement board behind one of them had to removed and replaced, at my expense. We also had to have ceilings and walls repaired three times. It was a nightmare. We have had no leaks since the tiles were replaced.
